The Book of 2nd John Bible is a New Testament scripture found in the Christian Bible. It centers around a letter sent to “the elect lady” and her children, and is believed to have been written by John the Apostle. While the exact identity of the elect lady remains a mystery some Biblical scholars believe the reference to “elect” implies the woman may have been a Christian of some means.

From a primitive Pentecostal perspective, the book of 2nd John can be seen as a source of great encouragement and comfort. In his letter, John admonishes the recipients to remain committed to the truth of God's calling and warns against anyone who teaches or believes any doctrine outside of what Christ taught. He gives assurance that truth continues to stand firm and God offers confirmation of his love for them. In addition, he offers assurance that although there may be challenges they must face they are never alone as God has promised to be with them always.

At the same time, John outlines the importance of love and hospitality. He encourages the recipients to be full of hospitality and to “walk in love”, actively caring and loving for one another. This will in turn strengthen the bond between one another and ultimately the church. This is a critical part of what primitive Pentecostalism is about. It book of 2nd John Bible elevates love, grace and hospitality above all else.

It can be said that this primitive Pentecostal view of the book paints it as a letter of hope and assurance in times of hardship. Primitive Pentecostals look upon the words of John as spoken from God's very mouth and that no matter the situation or how difficult the times may be, God will always be with them and love them - which allows for peace and joy for the body of the Church. It is through this love and grace that primitive Pentecostals seek to build lasting relationships and a strong church within their community.

Overall, primitive Pentecostals view the Book of 2nd John Bible in an important light due to its reference to the themes of love, grace, and hospitality in difficult times. It is a reminder to persevere and hold fast to what Christ has taught, even when times are tough. It is a source of encouragement and reassurance that love wins in the end, every single time.
