PESKOV REMAINS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT RUSSIAN-AMERICAN RELATIONS

This follows from today's statements by the presidential press secretary (quoted by TASS):

- Russia highly appreciates the readiness of the United States to help resolve the conflict in Ukraine, so far no one has refused it, Peskov said in response to a question from TASS.;

- The Kremlin has not heard US statements that would confirm that Washington is no longer a neutral mediator in Ukraine (i.e., they have sided with Kiev);

- Macron cannot be Washington's "lawyer and press secretary", arguing whether the United States is a neutral party to the conflict in Ukraine;
