PATCH NOTE 24.0

PATCH NOTE 24.0

Pixel Gun 3D Team

Snow, Advent, merry bearded men in red suits, bells, “Let It Snow” (by Dean Martin, not Sinatra), “It's a Wonderful Life” — soon enough, the festive trappings of Christmas will brighten up the usual routine. There will be no shortage of decorations and high spirits in the pixel world either (except for Dean Martin).

Christmas Tree event

No self-respecting Christmas is without a tree. But a simple tree will not do: a festive plant must cut through even the thickest darkness with its bright light. Simply put, the tree must be dressed up, so you need toys. That's exactly what you're going to collect, dear pixelgunners! There are always presents under the Christmas tree, so your efforts will be rewarded: the event will be lavish with prizes. I don't want to reveal all the cards, but [indecipherable mumbling about weapons and a new set of armor].

Speaking of prizes and rewards: during the holiday update, you will receive daily gifts. Don't forget to log into the game regularly so you don't miss your gift (it will be upset otherwise).

Christmas Showdown mode

We're rather aged, not to say old, and the mere sight of youngsters getting together and having fun makes us shed a tear. The new holiday mode is designed to guess the preferences of different types of players and make sure no one leaves without a prize.

All the pixelgunners gather in a spacious (and familiar) arena and take gifts away from mean monsters and a challenging boss with a nasty temper. The presents should be stacked neatly under the Christmas tree, but the monsters won't just leave you to it. Besides, there will always be Aggressors on the map, who are more interested in fighting not with creatures, but with their neighbour. The more neutral players the Aggressor defeats, the higher his reward. However, there is also a remedy for him. Pixelgunners who kill only Aggressors get the title of Defender and the corresponding duties: to protect other players for a decent fee.

Christmas Showdown mode will start in mid-December, and there's room for PvE admirers, PVP fans, and those who like to fight a tough monster (and the local bosses are quite tough). Plus you get prizes for collecting gifts and playing as an Aggressor or a Defender.

Fulfillment of Desires

When you want something very badly, you make a wish and hope that the higher powers will hear you. Of course, we are not higher powers, and we possess no superpowers. Except for one: we can hear your wishes. That's why the Christmas Lottery and Sets at the end of December will consist entirely of guns, skins, and additional items that you have wished for: among other things, you can get Big Buddy, Pulling Sucker Gun, or even U[censored]. Because wishes should come true!

New Pixel Pass Season & Lottery

Life in parallel universes is very similar to our own. But the devil, as we all know, is in the details.

Pixel Man, along with his newfound friends, dives into yet another portal and finds himself in a parallel world. It’s a stupid habit, if you ask me,  to jump into the portal without knowing better, but that's the way it is. In the new place, our adventurers immediately get to a raging Christmas party. But only the traditions of the locals are a bit unusual: instead of peaceful feasting and dancing here it is customary to organize a massive battle for the possession of Christmas gifts.

In the new season of Pixel Pass and Sets, pixelgunners will get acquainted with the inhabitants of the feisty parallel world: Santa Brawler, Ice Ninja, Brutal Reindeer, and other mysterious creatures.

Map Rotation

Christmas, like a light particle, is everywhere: even if you don't organize a special event, the holiday atmosphere jingles in the air much like bells. PG3D arenas are no exception. Cozy winter ornaments and Christmas decorations adorn the Pool, White House, Four Seasons, Ant Life, North Pole, and Toy Wars. For a detailed report on which maps have gone on vacation and which have returned, see our special post on map rotation.
