Everything you need to know about the new currency in Overwatch.

On this page you'll find everything you need to know about getting free Overwatch League Tokens, with an overview of how the new currency works.
A new currency has just been added to Overwatch, and it goes by the name of League Tokens. These new items are used to unlock the new colour schemes used by the various Overwatch League team. The idea is pretty simple. If you follow a particular team, you can show your support for them in-game by wearing the same skins they do in official matches.
In our guide to this new currency, we'll explain exactly how the new Tokens work and what you can do to get your hands on more of them, whether through the shop or by taking up the free offers that are currently available.
League Tokens are a new currency that has been introduced to allow players to purchase skins used by their favourite Overwatch League teams.
These purchases are completely separate from the Loot Box system, and you are required to either purchase League Tokens from the in-game shop, or grab the various free token offers that are available (more on those in a moment).
The new Overwatch League skins cost 100 Tokens each. You can purchase these Tokens in the UK and US for the following prices:
As you can see from the table above, it will cost you a total of 87.49 to unlock a team's colour scheme for every hero that currently exists in the game the game.
To unlock the skins, simply go to the Overwatch League section of the main interface, and then select the team whose colours you want to use.
Once you've done so you'll see a list of all 26 Overwatch heroes. Simply hit the Unlock button to the right of the screen and - assuming you have enough Tokens in the bank - you'll gain access to the skin in question.

A new method of getting free Overwatch League Tokens has been revealed by Blizzard on Wednesday 21st February 2018.
You can earn one League Token per map win, by linking your Twitch account to MLG.com, Twitch.tv or OverwatchLeague.com.
Whenever a map concludes during a live broadcast, viewers will receive a single League Token. A number of fans selected at random will actually receive 100 Tokens!
The details for how to connect your accounts in this way can be found over in a dedicated post on the official Overwatch League website. Note that residents in Canada have an extra step to complete, detailed on that page.
The first method for getting your hands on a quick batch of free League Tokens is to simply log into the game. Once you've done so and investigated the new Overwatch League tab that's been added to the title screen, you'll have 100 tokens gifted to your account. Nice and simple, eh? This only works the first time after logging in after the League start date, of course.
Here's another method for grabbing some free League Tokens, assuming you can stand a little bit of light spam in your inbox. If you sign up for Overwatch League Updates you'll receive another 100 tokens, completely free of charge.
To get your hands on these extra goodies, you must sign up for these email alerts by January 31st, 2018. You can enter your address over at the official Overwatch League site - just scroll down a little to where the black box is.
The first things to note in the context of these free tokens though is that your account must be in good standing in order to gain the free tokens that are currently on offer.
If you have been silenced, or your account has been limited in any other way due to penalties, you won't be able to pick them up. This seems to be Blizzard's next effort in the war against toxicity.
These are the only ways to unlock free Overwatch League Tokens that we are currently aware of. We will update this article when more methods for doing so are revealed by Blizzard!
