Only 12 out of 147 total demos don't have an already banned cheater in it. I guess low Trust Factor is working well there.
Out of the 12 demos without banned players, the suspect was clearly cheating in 4 of them. Also one boosting lobby and one demo with AFK enemies, where the suspect only pushed their spawn and killed them all. One griefing suspect and five suspects appearing to be legit make up the last 6 demos.
No doubt in trust. I see the demo with 8 players banned. XD
one boosting lobby and one demo with AFK enemies
Otherwise, what do you mean with boosting lobby?
Nothing to do with trust factor. Those are mostly f2p cheaters which are basically irrelevant.
Could you estimate the ratio between prime and non-prime matches?
Since the f2p update, out of 56 demos, 27 were non-prime, 29 prime. The 4 matches without banned cheater after the update are all prime games, the non-prime games usually have multiple cheaters.
I used to use a demo review tool that would constantly tell me I had been playing against cheaters, which was surprising, because it didn't feel like it.
Turns out, the tool was only telling me whether the player had a VAC ban or not. I looked into the players and a large majority of them had an old VAC ban - older than the match we played, and therefore definitely from a different game.
Does your tool differentiate whether the VAC bans are old or new?
If not, you might be able to do a quick check by just counting how many have VAC bans older than 150 days, (that's probably a 98%+ accurate estimate of "false positives" for your case)
Only VAC and game bans after the match ended are counted. Sometimes, if a player got banned within a very short time after the game (or during the game), that ban doesn't count towards the total banned players. Obviously there still could be some PUBG or other bans
Interesting stuff. Thanks for the post!
Am I correct in assuming the number in the parentheses after 'Yes' indicate how many people from that game have a ban?
Because at a brief glance there's several with as many as 6 or 7 people banned in a single match.
