Arcade is a game mode in  Overwatch  that can be accessed by the Play menu. It was added on 15 November, 2016 in place of the Brawl option.

It first launched with 5 game modes: 1v1 Mystery Duel , 3v3 Elimination , 6v6 Mystery Heroes , 6v6 No Limit , 6v6 All Brawls! The Arcade was also updated to include the Game Browser , where players can create and join custom games with tailor-made rules. However, the Game Browser has since left the Arcade, and is currently a separate entity from it.

In addition to those modes, seasonal events ' brawls and game modes will replace some Arcade mode in the time of an event.

Only 5 gamemodes are active at any given time. Arcade gamemodes rotate weekly, with the exception of the gamemode in the top-right slot marked with "Changes daily", which consistently changes every day at 00:00 UTC, as well as the gamemode in the bottom-right, which rarely changes.

On some special occasions, a gamemode will be added for a limited time.

Every seasonal event except for Anniversary has a unique mode only available during the event.

Players can earn up to three Loot Boxes by winning any Arcade game modes. These boxes are rewarded after the 3 rd , 6 th , and 9 th win. The count is reset at 00:00 UTC every Tuesday.

Furthermore, whenever a new Arcade game mode is added in to the Arcade, including Seasonal Events, players can also receive a Lootbox upon winning that game mode for the first time.

The Arcade is a play mode in Overwatch . It features a rotating variety of exclusive game modes , maps, and rulesets. Uniquely to this mode, players can earn Loot Boxes by winning games.

Face off in a series of one on one fights. Both players use the same random hero in every round.

Compete as a team of three players in a series of fights at Ecopoint: Antarctica, Castillo, Necropolis, and the Black Forest.

Note: Draw rounds all give 2000 exp each.

These game modes alter the traditional mode in some ways.

Defeat the enemy team with every player using heroes that randomly change upon respawn.

Defeat the enemy team without any limits on hero selection.

Low Gravity comprised standard Overwatch modes with the movement gravity setting lowered to 25%. It featured all maps and was available in the Arcade for a brief period.

Capture the Flag is a gamemode in which there are 2 flags on each side the of the map, one flag is your team's flag and the other is the enemy team's flag.

Deathmatch is a mode in which players take part in a map with the only objective being to eliminate each other.

Deathmatch is a free-for-all mode in which eight players take part in a map with the only objective being to eliminate each other. Every hero can be chosen with no hero limit applying. The player who reaches 20 points first or has the highest score when the 10-minute timer runs out will be awarded first place. Win credit is awarded to the top four players of each match. Some of the hybrid and escort maps are modified for play in Deathmatch. Chateau Guillard and Petra are maps specifically designed for Team and FFA Deathmatch.

Team Deathmatch uses the same rules as Deathmatch but divides players into 2 teams of 4. Kills are attributed to a team's overall score. The team that reaches 30 points first or has the most points when the 10-minute timer runs out will be awarded a win. The maps Black Forest , Necropolis , and Ecopoint: Antarctica are playable in this mode. [1]

Deathmatch played in one specific map determined by the map mentioned in title.

The Game Browser allows players to create their own or find other player's Custom Games, through a list of currently changing game modes.

During seasonal events , some special brawls are available to play in the Arcade. Starting with Junkenstein's Revenge, the seasonal brawls also feature special achievements that players can earn.

When a new game mode is introduced, there is a one-time Loot Box rewarded for playing and winning it.

There is a weekly reward system where players can earn a maximum of three Loot Boxes per week: one box per every three games won out of nine games total. The system resets at the same time every week; Tuesdays at 00:00 EST.
