Celebrity Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Ovation

CC24 is an acoustic-electric guitar from the Celebrity series made by Ovation. Ovation is a brand famous for advanced construction solutions and materials and Celebrity is their effort to get closer to the widest category of the market. Requirements of quality and affordability are main for this category and Ovation meets them so effortlessly. One of the best examples is CC24, single-cut acoustic-electric with shallow bowl made of composite materials in the back against the spruce-made sound board. Top is equipped with white binding and series` standard single circle rosette. Standard 25-1/4" scale is featured on this model. Hardware is plated in gold and both black and natural color options come finished in gloss. Maple neck is set and sports V contour in the back. 20-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood.

I bought my first Ovation back in 1975, second hand, and used it for all the band work I did back then. Fast forward 35 years or so, and I hadn't really played in decades. Saw this on offer and couldn't resist. I now have 2 Ovations (the origional one from '75 and this Koa one) a Taylor and an old nylon string from the thrift shop. The action on the Koa is supurlative and the tone is amazing. I am actually thinking about going out and taking lessons to learn to play it better!!!

this guitar was way more than I expected ! excellent sound , plays like a dream . I ordered it for my grand daughter,I like it so well I am ordering one for myself !

Bought this for my husband as a Christmas present. He had a old one that had a alot of play on it. This one is Beautiful and rich, smooth sounding.

With the mid depth back this guitar is comfortable when playing sitting down with little slip due to the rounded back. The mid depth body is the perfect blending of tone when played unplugged and options when plugged in. From previous experience with Koa topped guitars this will only give a richer tone as time goes by. That being said, this instrument plays and sounds great out of the gate. The only thing that would make it better is maybe light weight Elixer strings instead of the standard D,darrios it comes standard with.
