Tourist advice for cannabis smoker in Poland. I like to smoke weed and just wondered how risky it is to buy cannabis in Poland. I just wondered if a local or someone with experience could let me know their thoughts and advice on the risks versus rewards and the general opinions of the population and police in regards to tourists smoking weed. Should I stop smoking for a few days or is it chill to buy weed in Poland? From 'want to buy some coke? The smell of someone smoking weed has been present almost everywhere I go. But I have never seen or smelt or been offered anything of the kind in my time in Poland. I swear. In Portugal the example I gave was cocaine, openly offered whilst sitting at a cafe eating lunch. But moreso I gave the example as two geographical locations spanning most of Europe. I could give similar anecdotes for Berlin, Budapest, Barcelona, and most towns in England. In any case, what benefit is there to pointing out the above other than to make yourself feel superior? Yeah not very relaxed then. Or do cities find themselves under more heavy police control from time to time? Seen that happen to my friends. You carry only weed you need. Luckily, I never got caught thanks to being overly paranoid. Cops can stop you anytime for no reason at all. They have right, and I bet your ass they will frisk you, with extensiveness often depending on how nervous you will be. Thanks Duke, that sounds like crazy extremes are possible and seems very much like a good cop vs bad cop situation if you get caught. But yeah And usually there is of them present at least, which further slims down your chances of meeting good cop. I hear that man, the one and only time I was arrested and prosecuted was for that exact reason - possession of drugs had just been kicked to top priority and I faced every possible consequence for the smallest amount of a substance that had been legal up until just a week or so before. Nothing personal, police officer was a nice dude but he had targets to meet and I was an easy one. Simply put, being a tourist there is a high probability you might just get ripped off. My advice, get in touch with someone preferably a local you can trust who knows where to get the good stuff. Thanks for your advice so far everyone. Find better hobby. No, it is not. Both are dangerous. Alcohol is just weaker psychoactive drug and it destroys due to its denaturing properties.
