The article analyzes the general geopolitical picture in the South Caucasus within the context of the new realities that have developed after the Second Karabakh War in The relevance of the research topic lies in the fact that the war made serious changes to the balance of power in the South Caucasus and changed the regional geopolitical landscape as a whole while opening up opportunities for intraregional integration processes. In this regard, the purpose of this research is to identify the features of these changes as well as factors affecting regional processes after the war. The article uses such methods as historical-analytical and historical-genetic methods to identify the main causes of regional changes, a comparative-historical method to determine the level of influence of the main players on the region, a content analysis that allowed analyzing the materials of periodicals, as well as principles such as scientific objectivity and reliability. At the beginning of the study, the author gives an assessment of the geopolitical processes in the South Caucasus and then briefly examines the position and policy of Russia, Turkey, Iran, the USA, the EU, China, and the UK on regional issues. The conclusion is made that Russia, Turkey, and Iran should find a common format of interaction, thanks to which their zones of influence in the region will be clearly defined, taking into account the interests of the three South Caucasian countries. And this, in turn, will avoid any clashes between them, create conditions for regional development, and contribute to the formation of a new regional world order by finding common interests.
