For festival-goers who fail to find romance among the art, all-night parties, heat and dust of Burning Man, there is always the option of the 'Orgy Dome'.
The 24-hour air-conditioned tent at the eight-day festival in Black Rock City, Nevada, encourages people of all sexual orientations - whether they are poly-amorous or monogamous - to take part, and is said to feature massage tables, mattresses with clean sheets, lubricants, condoms and sofas.
The dome's Sacramento, California-based organizers, And Then There's Only Love, claim it is a 'safe, consensual, sex-positive, inclusionary and exploratory environment where adult couples and moresomes can play and love.

An estimated 70,000 people are set to attend this year's Burning Man festival, which started on Sunday and runs until September 5.
Last year more than 9,000 people visited the Orgy Dome. Such was its popularity that some visitors said they have previously queued to get in.
One visitor described the dome on Reddit as a 'nice set up, clean towels and cushions, and moderate climate control'.
Visitors are reportedly met by staff who ensure that they are entering the dome with a partner.
The Reddit user warned it is 'generally not a writhing pile of ten or 15 naked bodies as the name might suggest,' adding: 'Usually the dome is occupied by couples, with some threesomes and moresomes.'
The Orgy Dome fan said that largely 'people keep to themselves' but that partner swapping takes place sometimes.
The festival-goer added: 'Usually there are some people watching on the edges, voyeurism and having an audience are definitely in play here, so know that going in.

Following: This year the festival is set to attract an estimated 70,000 visitors
'If someone is bothering you, most of the time they'll stop when you ask, although the tent staff is happy to help resolve any uncomfortable problems that may arise.'
Former visitors to the camp described their experiences to Cosmpolitan.com .
Aly, 26, a production assistant from Los Angeles, California, said she was 'interviewed' when she arrived to ensure she was 'sober enough to consent' and ensure that she knew the rules of the dome.
She added: 'Verbal consent is necessary to begin play with other groups and to introduce new activities.
'If you ask if you can play with a couple, you'd still need to ask, "Can I touch your breasts?" "Can I go down on you?" "Can I f**k you both in the butt?" Consent is an active process and can be removed at any point.'
Her partner, Dan, 34, a set-builder, said the air conditioning is a 'big plus'.
He added: 'It's something different and exciting...Aly and I weren't together then, but we'd been friends for a long time.
Fan: One former visitor to Burning Man, pictured Wednesday, described the Orgy Dome as a 'nice set up, clean towels and cushions, and moderate climate control'
Free love: Organizers of the Orgy Dome describe it as 'safe, consensual, sex-positive, inclusionary and exploratory environment' for adult couples and 'moresomes'
'There was no expectation of anything sexual, just getting effed up and having a party.
'The lighting is low and nice, there are nice drapes and comfy couches and pillows, and they provide lube and condoms.'
Jocelyn, 28, a pastry chef from Portland, Oregon, said the orgy dome was the first time she and her husband Luke had group sex together.
She said: 'For us, it started in the waiting area before you're admitted into the actual dome.
'I was getting my head, neck, and shoulders massaged by one person, and my feet and legs massaged by another, all while holding hands with someone else.'
She said the area was dimly lit and the floor was made from black rubber and there were mattresses with fresh sheets.
People were encouraged to use hand santitizer and baby wipes, she added.

Is it possible to have a carefully regulated, politically correct orgy? The experiment has been going on for some time at the annual Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert , and by this summer, the answer seems to be . . . no.
The festival’s venerable Orgy Dome — once a symbol of all that was Burning Man: decadent, foolhardy, almost Caligulan — has slid into obsolescence, a victim of societal trends like the litigation explosion, sexual correctness and the #MeToo movement.
Consider the account of a Reddit user who recently visited the Orgy Dome. He said that after he had been issued a ticket, a wrist band and a briefing about properly obtained consent, visiting the Orgy Dome “felt more like I was waiting to pick up a lawn mower at Sears.”
Once upon a time Burning Man was considered an experiment in radical self-reliance. The idea was to cut loose from the “default world” and hunker down in a tent on a salt flat in the middle of the Nevada desert, in 100-degree heat and dust storms, without money, electricity or cars.
These conditions created, well, a scene — a very photogenic scene. The place definitely had a look. It was very Mad Max, very Steam Punk. Photos that trickled back to real world showed a post-apocalyptic landscape sparsely populated by outlandishly dressed, and often naked, people and the occasional wired-together outlandish vehicle.
We live in an image-driven age, and once the photos, especially of the naked women, started getting around, people, especially a lot of single young men, poured in from across the land.
Elders carp that as the festival has exploded in size — 70,000 people attended this year — the old spirit has been lost. Tech giants like Elon Musk now consider it their duty to attend (to touch base with the “youth”), but they stay in a section known as “Billionaires’ Row,” in huge air-conditioned RVs, with chefs and armed guards. Movie stars and famous models visit.
The porta-potties may be a bit dreary but the scene makes a great Instagram background.
It was inevitable that the PC apparatchiks and lawyers would descend, as well.
The sexual regulation of Burning Man has been going on for a long time, but it’s gone into overdrive since the #MeToo movement exposed the (very real) abuses of powerful men in Hollywood and the media soon turned into an all-out backlash against men.
This year, the director of event operations sent out an email to ticketholders before the event about the proper way to obtain consent for sex.
To be on the legal safe side, he covered everything else he could apparently think of as well.
“Honestly, for a long time I generally only thought of consent as it relates to sex,” he burbled, “but through my work with Burning Man, I’ve learned how much it also relates to touch, food, photography and many other things too.” Like hugs: “Just because you hugged someone yesterday doesn’t mean you can surprise them with a hug today. . . . Ask every time.”
In this sort of climate, it is perhaps understandable that the Orgy Dome instituted new procedures. Would-be visitors must wait in line to be ushered into an anteroom, where they are subjected to a personalized lecture with a counselor who earnestly explains consent ABCs.
Even “touching, and watching intently require consent,” an Orgy Dome administrator explained on Reddit, though “admittedly there’s a somewhat arbitrary and difficult to define line there.”
The reviews are coming in, and not surprisingly, Orgy Dome visitors are finding the experience about as erotic as a tooth-cleaning.
“Nice place and well-run, though I found the experience a bit underwhelming,” wrote one commenter.
Another said, “It’s like the DMV: You get a number, then you talk to one guy and take a test on the rules, then you wait some more.” Some commenters said they visited the dome mostly for naps in the air conditioning.
Welcome to the new, improved, litigation-proofed, #MeToo’d Orgy Dome.

The spirit of free love is alive and well - at least for one week in Black Rock City in Nevada, during the famous Burning Man festival
Looking for a new way to express yourself, broaden your horizons and make new friends?
Well the Orgy Dome at The Burning Man festival is one place you could go - and they're always glad you came.
Having been part of the desert festival for more than 10 years, the Orgy Dome is pitched as a "sex-positive, consensual space for couples and moresomes to love and play".
It's organised by a group called And Then There's Only Love (ATTOL), and is open to anyone regardless of sexuality.
Horny festival goers can visit any time of the day but must be accompanied with a partner.
A former visitor to the sex tent told Cosmopolitan: "The organisers are careful to make sure that everyone who goes in intends to have sex — they don't want anyone just hanging out."
However, another inhabitant wrote down their experience on Reddit and said: "There are some people watching on the edges, voyeurism and having an audience are definitely in play here, so know that going in."
But another visitor also told Cosmo that consent inside the Orgy Dome "is an active process and can be removed at any point".
She said: "If you ask if you can play with a couple, you'd still need to ask, 'Can I touch your breasts?', 'Can I go down on you?', 'Can I f*** you both?'."
But if the idea of you and your long-term partner having sex with complete strangers while others watched is a little too piquant for your tastes, you could always take a class instead.
The Orgy Dome offers lessons in sadomasochism and erotic massages, while a competition is also held to find who has "the loudest moan".
