Best Hotel in Sunny Beach This is a big hotel, in fact 3 hotels in one. Fantastic service by the hard working staff, great food and facilities, best location in resort. Sunny beach is brilliant, its got something for every, we loved it. Hotel's Favorite Great for the money! The Hotel il located in the back of a small hotel,so the distance to beach is m,in the left of the hotel,not really in the front. The room is nice,big with all facilities. The pool are very nice,bar on the pool have various. Olso a lit of kids pool. Show in the evening are in same days ok,in other no. I like the shotting activity,they have olso polo in water,voleyball. The food in the restaurant is ok,varios and tasty,but they can improve the variety of soup only 2 kind. The parking of hotel is small then the capacity,here they can improve and help you to park in other private park. They need to have a radical change on the beach. First 5 row of sunbeds are private,and you need to pay. For such a big hotel they can hire the sunbeds from that private seller. The other is free. The beach bar is only one they need minimum 2 and it's not so various with drinks. On beach bar you can have only beer,juice,ice cream and sandwich. It is unacceptable to don't have coffe for a Melia standard. I make the reservation on Melia. Perfect Perfect food, really polite staff, great vacation! The best hotel in Sunny beach! Clean rooms, hygiene is on really good level. Deserts are the best, different restaurants. Thanks for everything guys. Best ever I don't even know where to start with this review. What an amazing hotel, I can't fault anything. Plenty of food at breakfast, dinner and tea. Through out the day there is burgers , hotdogs, ribs and chips my son said best hotdogs ever my mum had a burger and it was lush. At 12pm the pizza counter opens, I had the pepperoni slice and it was lush also the German food section opens at 12pm. The outdoor bar on a night know how to put the alcohol in for the cocktails The animation team on a night absolutely brilliant, they work so hard through the day with activities and then the entertainment on a night. People was out at 6. Not sure what they say, but thinking it's to do with reserving and then going off for a few hrs. The pool is cold, but once in and splashed around you don't notice it. We stayed in room , pool veiw was a family room and very big which we enjoyed having all the space. Usually you can't wait to come home to get back to your own bed, I was actually crying leaving the bed lol. We left at 2am as was getting picked up about 2. The hotel is about 2mins walk from flower Street. We have loved this holiday from start to finish, and was really gutted to leave. We will be back here, hopefully very soon. Couldn't fault it for a family holiday Had a fantastic holiday in Aug Hotel was fabulous - incredibly clean and well maintained. Selection of food is fabulous - there is most definitely something for everyone and the selection is extensive. Hotel was well staffed for the busiest weeks of summer and we didn't have to wait for anything. Special thanks must go to the fabulous animation team. My 4 year old was excited to go daily. The crafts and activities they put on far exceeded our expectations of 'musical chairs' etc. Water fights, slime making, pizza making, pirate day - all very well organised and the animators were so kind and welcoming to all the children. Plenty of sunbeds available although you do need to go down early 7am to reserve a poolside bed. If towels are left unattended they are just lifted by the staff though which is good. Hello everyone, for the first time I was in Bulgaria on vacation at the sea, I chose Sunny Beach Hotel and I was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful location, I was between September 7-September 14, , I had the room on the 6th floor with a view to the sea, in body C, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, very clean, new furniture, carpeted, very spacious bathrooms, rooms as well. Very nice employees, smiling, would help you at any time if you needed something, food at will, drink as well, we had a bar on the hotel beach, sunbeds as well, everything very clean, including the toilets on the beach. You do not need towels, you can use those of the hotel yellow : do not miss a visit in Old Nessebar, a beautiful location 10 minutes by local bus, a very nice town, bohemian I would say, very clean and quiet, with many terraces by the sea, decent prices. Amazing place to spend your holidays This hotel was absolutely perfect. Personal was professional and kind. Food was amazing. Every day something different. Plenty of food was available during the day as well including lovely icecream. Indian restaurant was available if you want a change. Free slides, minigolf, deckchair. Animation team was superb, evening show every night. Clean rooms. Nice beach. A lot of available alcohol and drinks, barman could do almost anything. Best vacation From the first moment we felt like queens in the hotel. A large clean room, lots of delicious food and drink,beautiful beach and pools are the perfect conditions for rest. But we did not know how a great animation program is waiting for us. Viktor,Stan and Dani didn't us just let sleep on a lounger,but we practiced with them, played darts, shot a bow even though we never held it in our hands and most importantly, they were always close with a kind word, gesture or joke. Our room was a junior suite and was big enough to accommodate the 4 of us, the balcony was a sun trap on the afternoon. The dining hall was big, with plenty of tables. The food was great, with plenty of choice and both the chefs and dining room staff were lovely. There are also a Chinese and Indian restaurants to eat at. The hotel has a number of pools, we started at the one next to block A, this was cold and the shallow end was 1. We spent the rest of our week at the large pool which is 1m depth all round and was a lot warmer. We never struggled to get a sunbed, even though the hotel was extremely busy. The beach is only a 2 minute walk away, along with a load of shops and fair ground. The evening entertainment is your run of the mill stuff, with kids show starting at The hotel was really busy, so the evening entertainment area got very congested. Met a great family from Yarm and our daughter made a friend from a family from Brighton. All in all, was a great holiday to Bulgaria, great hotel, lovely people and would definitely visit again. They are so entertaining, funny, cheerfull, nice, helpfull and involved in what they are doing. I travel a lot through Europe and never seen so high standard in animations. Keep up the fantastic work! The hotel also have polish animations. The hotel itself was also very satisfying. We had the side sea view room at 7th floor. The view was really nice. Big advantage was the coffee and water machines at every floor. Self service is a big time saver for me. You could make all kinds of coffee, tea, juices, water, cola even zero , sprite, mirinda, tonic. In one word - everything. The room was very clean. Wifi has good signal and is fast. Pools very also very clean. The cleaning service was fast and very carefull. We had Celcius degree so the water was refreshing but I must say that it was a little bit cold. There are 5 restaurants 3 big - Italian, Regional, Spanish and 2 small - Indian and Chinese and all are all inclusive with buffets and self service. A lot of delicious food. Everybody can find something enjoyable to eat. The cleaning service at restaurants is top class! They are so fast at cleaning tables and becouse of that nobody is waiting for seats. The big advantage is also the fact that pool service didnt allow to reserve sunbeds at the pools at the morning. If you place towel and go away, be sure that it will be removed. Can't think of anything negative about the hotel or resort Great holiday We have stayed in a few iberostar hotels over the years and this is definitely one of the better ones. The food is varied and tasty. The meats, especially veal breast and pork is epic as is the white wine. There is lots of cheese and it's absolutely gorgeous. A must for a cheese fan. We didn't make breakfast most days as we were in bed but when we did it was nice. Fresh honey and lovely rice milk as well as fresh bread and cakes. The doughnuts are lovely and the bitter lemon and sour cherry soft drinks are very refreshing. The biscuits in the afternoon were very nice as well. It was busy but it's high season and the place copes well with the capacity. Pools are lovely and cool as is the refreshing, pure mountain breeze. Cleanliness is high priority and it would be hard to fault the staff who work very hard. Animation team are brilliant. Kids loved them. Sunbeds are plentiful and don't need reserving. The vibe is very relaxing and the other guests are friendly. Sunny beach resort is a little rowdy and wasn't for us but plenty to do in the hotel, we weren't bored. Overall we are very impressed with the hotel and will definitely return. We stayed 5 nights. This is an amazing vacation experience for families with children! As a retired couple, it isn't the type of resort we would normally go to, but we still had a marvelous time! In addition to the main buffet, there are snack bars on beach and by pool. One is Indian and the other Chinese. We did love the large door to balcony overlooking the sea. The nightly show starts at 9pm, but in order to get a seat, you have to arrive early and watch the Kid's Mini Disco everyday. Again, this is great for families- not so much for couples SUMMARY- I am still rating this resort as 5 Stars, because I think it does an excellent job with the vast majority of guest experiences. Fab Stay Recently returned from a 7 night stay at Melia with my Grandson when we arrived we registered and went to find our room. The room was clean freshly aired and modern. It overlooked one of the pools there were 6. The food was lovely even my Grandson who is a fussy eater liked the food. There was entertainment every night the staff don't say a lot but are very efficient everywhere was always clean I recommend a trip to the water park a short taxi ride away which cost 30 levs each way we didn't pay until our return trip back to the hotel there's always a registered taxi outside the hotel I would definitely return again the hotel deserves 5 stars had a fantastic stay see you again soon we stayed in the second floor block C with a big balcony same again please. We were impressed from the moment we entered due to the beautifully maintained gardens, pool area and lobby. The rooms were really spacious and recently renewed with a fantastic, powerful shower. We paid slightly more for a pool view but were so glad we did as the balcony was a great place to sit in the sun. We noticed the exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel from the pool area being thoroughly cleaned throughout the day, the spotless rooms to the cleaners in the restaurant sweeping every crumb. The only suggestion for improvement we would have is the selection of cocktails on offer as we found these to be quite limited. Thank you to all staff involved for a great stay! Very good We stayed a week I July and we had a great time. The food was very good, the best we had in Sunny Beach this year. The cleaning was amazing, and the hotel is cleaned continuously all day. From start to finish we were really impressed with the resort. It has everything for children and families. The entertainment was incredible and the outdoor amphitheatre made it all the better. Sunbeds could not be reserved until 8am unsupervised or they were removed.. Really clean room.. Food amazing The idea of having a VIP area on the beach saved me a fortune in both sunbeds,food and drink. Entertainment suited all nationalities. I have nothing but great reports for this hotel and we would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone. Everything was excellent, all of the staff from the cleaners to the entertainment team were brilliant. The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfectly situated, the food was delicious they even imported British bacon for breakfast and the drinks were lovely. We spent 2 days at another all inclusive hotel slightly further out and there was a huge difference in quality! For starters the spirits and beer were clearly cheap rubbish compared to Iberostar. The food was ok but no where near the quality of the Iberostar. The entertainment was great and at no point did we feel forced to participate but if you wanted there were things happening all the time ie archery, table tennis, mini golf etc If you are going to sunny beach you HAVE TO, HAVE TO stay here at the Iberostar. I will definitely be going back. You shine like the STAR you are! I have to say at this point, I am no real fan of all-inclusive and have only usually done this type of holiday in the Caribbean where it is common. Having read the glowing reports, particularly about the food and the small amount of money to upgrade from half to fullboard it was a no brainer! Now here is my point, I simply do not understand some of the negative reviews posted about the food? These people that talk about repetition of food over a two week period must have superstores attached to their houses and never eat the same thing at home twice in a fortnight! Then Hotels work to tight budgets and minimum food waste, so it's up to the skills of the chefs and the kitchen staff to work wonders with what ever they have, and personally I think they did a great job! One thing for sure I didn't go hungry over the week of my stay, and the fresh fish, mussels, clams and squid were as good as anything I have eaten in restaurants throughout the world. My opinion would be, if you have limited taste and not prepared to try things, then a plate of chips and a burger would get pretty boring everyday! They have to cook for the masses and as the saying goe's 'you can't please all the people all of the time' but they tried very hard. Rant over Very good for parents with children, you could simply book-in and never have to spend another penny plus they have a kids club which was very popular I wonder why. All in all, more than what I was expecting from my first trip to Bulgaria! All resorts are looking for new ways to increase turnover and with the current trend in Airlines and Tour Companies going bust, who can blame them? Enjoy Bulgaria. Reception staff got us sorted and to our room, room was spacious with air con, comfortable bed, television, balcony, nice bathrooms, all clean and nice. The hotel is spacious with more than one large buffet style restaurants, large choice of foods, with some cooked in front of you, all tasty and with something for everyone to eat, food intolerance is also catered for. All inclusive with local lager on tap with red, white and rose wine also on tap. Staff constantly cleaning up used plates and glasses, sweeping up the floor and always pleasant. During the day there are themed areas for snacks, by main pool it is an American themed snack bar serving burgers, hotdogs and fries with a Ford Mustang car to add to the theme. Next to the heated pool is the Italian theme with outside pizza oven and again themed with a Fiat , you really will not go hungry or thirsty at this hotel. Entertainment every night, including the mini disco for kids. The beach is four minutes walk from hotel, it has its own section of beach with free to use sun-loungers, snack bar and toilets, workers walk up and down clearing litter etc all through the day, clean beach with warm sea. Local town is a short walk from hotel with the usual tourist gift shops and bars etc. All staff were friendly, helpful, kept the hotel very clean and tidy, housekeepers kept rooms nice and clean and again all friendly. Give this hotel a try, we are glad we did snd the best review you can leave somewhere is to say you want to go back next year, we do. One of the best I have been lucky enough to to have done several cruises, but the buffet here was the best ever. There are so many cooking stations here, so everything is really fresh. Normally after three or four days you can fed up with buffet food. Not here. So many changes to the food every day. The cleaning is on going, both in the restaurants and general areas. People always put there towels by the pool so no room but the best about the hotel was the lobby bar worker Maxim. Best service I have had in years. He always treats his costumers right. Every one of us ate really well and tried new things. Drinks- these were disappointing but definitely not the worst we have had when in holiday. The beer very weak tasting compared to when we left the hotel and had one. But again lots of choice so you can find something you like. The beach- lovely to have sunbeds and snacks and drinks on the beach. Always found enough beds for us all. The water was lovely and clean along with the beach. Rooms- nice and spacious and cleaned daily. Evening entertainment- definitely not the best I've seen but still was entertaining and plenty of seats but once it was these did fill up. Overall we as a family really enjoyed our stay. Only thing to complain about was the rude quests that stayed here but that cannot be blamed on the hotel. Melia Hotel Sunny Beach Just returned from this hotel and had a wonderful week. Like any hotel improvements could be made however.. I found the staff extremely helpful Daniel on the indoor lobby bar building c was always smiling and nothing was to much for him! The security team were also helpful in securing us immediate taxis. The room was comfy spacious , cleaned daily. The food was hot and tasty … You could have a full roast dinner every day along with many fish dishes, vegetarian dishes , paella. Salads in abundance with cold meats cheese and an array of breads. Of course pizza chips and nuggets.. Alongside all the snack foods My dislike which is my personal opinion, the staff cleaning plates away in the dining room should wait till everyone on table has finished eating. Many times I asked them not to take a plate away. A few more food labels on the cold buffet section to let you know what the foods were. Many dishes bright in colour but no idea what they were. Instructions in hotel room to explain how air con works, and in general some info about hotel would be nice to have in your room. Lastly entertainment area. Resulting in drinks getting spilt, people having to get up out of there chairs to let people past etc thus spoiling watching the entertainment. If your thinking of booking and have been to Bulgaria before.. Great Hotel! Arrived on 12th Sept after a long flight delay, but room was ready and recieved a warm welcome from reception. Our request for high room with sea view was spot on! Room is a lovely size, spotless clean, and a fab welcome pack of wine and chocolates, with a welcome note, this is a lovely touch we loved it! Melia Sunny Beach Visit this hotel for many years and always the best service and what a excellent hotel. Great food, friendly staff and entertainment. Big rooms and very clean. Always visit the hotel in june and september for 2 weeks and not many joung people so not to busy and very relaxing. Another great holiday This was the first hotel we ever went to in sunny beach a few year back. Its changed names but the service cleanliness has stayed the same. Think this was our 6th time here and we just love how it's so close to everything but still not in the hustle and bustle. Rooms are beautiful and clean ,a coffee maker on each floor wich I love. We had a note with chocolate and wine left in our rooms welcoming us back wich I thought was fabulous. Never had a problem finding something good to eat although it was very busy when we arrived due to school holiday season. The entertainment is amazing ,the night time shows are great. The entertainment team work there socks as do the bar staff cleaners etc. We took our grandson who is 7 and he was like a different person, he danced on the stage and ate food he wouldnt back home. Excellent hotel We are coming to the end of our stay here at the melia sunny beach hotel and we have enjoyed our holiday, the hotel is kept very clean and tidy by a very hardworking housekeeping team , The food is very tasty and plentiful I have heard some comments about the repeated dishes but you would find that in most big all inclusive hotels , the restaurant where we ate most of our meals was in block 3 where we met the restaurant manager Nicholas who I would describe as an old school manager ever present on the floor looking after the customer and staff , all the staff are very friendly and helpful but I would like to mention one lady in particular Irina always very helpful and if not yet a supervisor then promote her now because nothing was too much trouble for her. The animation team work very hard and the idea of using nicknames instead of your name when taking part in the activities is very funny I have been called hairy guy, popeye and Tottenham The snack bar by the pools was excellent for burgers, chicken wings and chips freshly cooked as well. We have had a fantastic holiday and very highly recommend this hotel Chris and Sarah foster.
