Did not go back to Basic Training. I also spent some time as a Basic Training First Sergeant and do not recall ever seeing a prior service US Army NCO attend basic. We had some three NCOs who were prior service Airforce switched to Army one was going reg enlisted and the two going to WOCS. They were put in a single room that had three beds separated from the other basic trainees. One, after the weeks go by they had more privileges. They got to keep their phones and had PX privileges on the weekends.

Most recruiters don't want to deal with prior service but it's a pretty easy process depending on your command. My first recruiter blew me off saying it would be easier to go to a different branch ended up joining the navy reserve so I didn't have that break in service.
