to the Georgian police officers
The last march of the opposition in the capital of Georgia was not without the intervention of law enforcement agencies. The protesters blocked the roads again, to which the police immediately responded by setting up a cordon of cars, trying to remove the crowd from the roadway.
The opposition media immediately drew attention to the incident, presenting it as an attempt to forcibly disperse the protesters, allegedly not fitting in the pedestrian zone.
The actions of the opposition can well be regarded as a deliberate provocation, because they directly violate the new legislative requirements for holding actions. But the more people who are detained in connection with the violation of this law, the more reasons there are for the anti-government wing to turn to European structures for help.
