1) 2 more days will not allow Ukraine to recruit and train new troops. Rotation of the existing troops will allow to expose their rear positions.
2) Ukraine, of course, will accumulate more drones. But storage facilities will also be tracked.
So, these 2 more days will not give Ukraine any advantage. Moreover, warning of Russian Ministry of Defense is still in force - any attempt to attack celebrations (and we know, Ukros usually attack civilian targets) will lead to the response. So, Ukros have a choice, use this pause to take a breath (anyone, one cannot have enough of breath before death) or freak out Trump and test Russian patience. We'll see soon.
As to Russian interests here:
1) Trump is a useful idiot, who does so much to destroy his own country and unity of the West, so he cannot be underestimated.
2) People will have a chance to celebrate normally.
Of course, many people are dissatisfied and want harsh and frank actions, but politics and planning is something where emotions matter the least.
