Open/close positions using indicators

Apitrade

The "Open by indicators" filter in the futures and spot grid-bot "Hurricane" allows you to automatically open a long or short position with a market order and run the bot at the moment the selected indicators for the coin match.

You can enable "Open conditions by indicators" and limit opening trades using RSI (the current RSI will be displayed when specifying the time frame), so as not to buy a coin when it is very overbought, and a moving average HMA / EMA / SMA to choose from (to buy a growing coin, for example 0-1% above the average price RSI is calculated on 14 candles, moving average on 16.

The price above the moving average is used to confirm that the coin is in an uptrend above the moving average. The price below the moving average (for example, EMA) by a certain percentage is an analogue of the indicator. It allows you to open trades during local straits, after which, in the vast majority of cases, a rebound follows (therefore, it is recommended to use a breakeven stop loss as well).

To further improve your entry point, you can use a combination of three RSIs calculated over different time frames, such as 5 minutes, 1 hour (60 minutes) and 5 hours (300 minutes).

On the right, the current values of RSI and the moving average for the selected time frame will be shown. If the value is not shown, then most likely the timeframe is too large, use a smaller timeframe. Restrictions apply to both the first and other opening orders. If you don't want opening orders to disappear as soon as the RSI or moving average changes and no longer matches your settings, enable the option "do not limit when position is more than" (should be less than your first order). To close a position, it is recommended to use an upper or lower stop loss (as a percentage of the average entry price or position opening price) or / stop loss next to the extremes. You can also enable the option "not higher than the open price" in order not to place opening orders above the open price (when long) or lower (when short), which will significantly reduce the risks, as well as the number of transactions after opening a position.

Differences from a squeeze bot

Unlike the squeeze bot, RSI does not take into account the speed of the coin’s price decline (a trade can open even with a slow decline), as well as its quality. In order to open trades with very sharp price dumps, we recommend using a squeeze bot. If the number of trades opened by the squeeze bot is not enough, you can always increase the "sensitivity" (risk) of the squeeze-bot. Indicator settings can be used in conjunction with other opening conditions (for example, trading by levels), but this will significantly reduce the number of trades. Do not forget that the profitability of the grid-bot depends mainly on the number of trades.
