Companies like Samsung, OnePlus and Oppo have launched a few exciting new products that are winning hearts with their designs and value for money. In our June list of best phones to buy, we see more and more new devices replace last year's models as it should be the case. Xiaomi, Realme and Samsung are some common names to be found in the budget to mid-range segments, while the top-end, ultra premium slots belong to Huawei and Apple.

Cheapest phone money can buy

Redmi Go: Rs 4,499

Good smartphone under Rs 5,000 is a rarity, but thanks to the Android Go program we are slowly seeing some decent, usable phones for first-time smartphone users or those switching from a feature phone. The Redmi Go is an example of that. It is currently the most affordable Android Go phone that comes with bare-boned specs such as a 5-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 425 chipset, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage. With Android Go, you get preloaded, optimised Go-based apps like Gmail Go, YouTube Go, Maps Go and so on.

Best phones under Rs 10,000

Nokia 2.2: Rs 6,999

We are yet to write our full review of the Nokia 2.2, but the fact that it is the most affordable Android One device in the market makes it a great option for consumers looking for an entry-level phone with stock Android Pie. The Nokia 2.2 also brings a dedicated Google Assistant button and a 5.7-inch HD+ display. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset paired with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The Redmi Note 7 is not a new device, but it still offers great value for its price under Rs 10,000. It touts a premium glass design with a dated yet powerful Snapdragon 660 chipset, which is something that you still won't find in this segment. The Redmi Note 7 also sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ waterdrop display, a large 4,000mAh battery and a Type-C port. As for the cameras, you get a decent 12MP + 2MP setup on the back and a 13MP selfie camera.

Best phones under Rs 15,000

Realme 3 Pro: Rs 13,999

The Realme 3 Pro is easily one of the best phones you can find under Rs 15,000. We are still awaiting the launch of the Realme X in India, which is expected to be priced around Rs 18,000, so the Realme 3 Pro should do for now. This is perhaps the only phone that can take on the Redmi Note 7 Pro head-to-head with its an attractive gradient glasstic design, 6.3-inch FHD+ waterdrop display, a fast and powerful Snapdragon 710 chipset, 16MP dual camera setup and VOOC 3.0 fast charging on top of a long-lasting battery life.

Redmi Note 7 Pro: Rs 13,999

The Redmi Note 7 Pro is probably the first device you will hear someone suggesting if you're looking for a phone under Rs 15,000. It is understandable given what the Redmi Note 7 Pro offers for a starting price of Rs 13,999. It brings a premium Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back, gradient colour options, a 6.3-inch FHD+ waterdrop display and a large 4,000mAh battery. In addition to this, you get a Snapdragon 675 chipset and a 48MP dual camera setup, which makes it a no-brainer in this segment.

Samsung Galaxy M30: Rs 14,990

The success of the Galaxy M series can be credited to the fact that Samsung has been able to read the terrain and has managed to launch phones with designs and hardware that are in tune with the needs of today's millennials. We are yet to review the newly launched Galaxy M40 so the best of the lot would still be the Galaxy M30. The phone offers a striking 6.4-inch FHD+ (2340x1080) Super AMOLED display, gradient design and a massive 5,000mAh battery, which is perhaps the best in this segment. The phone was also recently updated to Android Pie with One UI.

Best phones under Rs 20,000

In addition to a powerful chipset, you also get some a 6.18-inch FHD+ display, some good quality dual cameras and a large 4,000mAh battery. The Poco F1 has already been updated to Android Pie and is due to get Android Q in the future as well.

Best phones under Rs 50,000

OnePlus 7: Rs 32,990

There are plenty of new flagship phones that can be found under Rs 50,000 in India, which makes one question whether a consumer needs to shell out a lot of money to buy a premium smartphone. The OnePlus 7 series includes a regular OnePlus 7 and a OnePlus 7 Pro, both of which make it to this list for obvious reasons. The OnePlus 7 is currently the most affordable phone with a Snapdragon 855 chipset. On top of that, it offers a stunning glass and metal design that looks similar to the OnePlus 6T along with an optimised Android Pie-based Oxygen OS and 3,700mAh battery with fast charging support.

Honor 20: Rs 32,999

Honor has tried to match OnePlus when it comes to delivering premium flagships at affordable prices. The company launched the Honor 20 series this month that includes the Honor 20 Pro and Honor 20. The regular Honor 20 gets the same design and mostly the same hardware as the Pro model at a great price. It sports a 6.26-inch FHD+ punch-hole display and is powered by a Kirin 980 chipset. It also gets a 48MP quad camera setup that are more versatile and exciting compared to the OnePlus 7. It also comes with a premium glass design and a long-lasting battery, among other things.

Oppo Reno 10x Zoom: Rs 39,990

The Reno 10x Zoom is perhaps the best-designed phone of 2019. Not only does it tout premium curved glass body with a frosted finish, it also comes with a unique shark-fin rising camera that makes it stand out. It is also the only other phone in the market right now to be powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset. It sports a 6.6-inch notchless FHD+ AMOLED display and offers a 48MP tripe camera setup. The Reno 10x Zoom houses a 4,065mAh battery and supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

OnePlus 7 Pro: Rs 48,999

The OnePlus 7 Pro is a new kind of flagship from OnePlus to up the game and truly take on the likes of Samsung and Apple. Not only does it get the same Snapdragon 855 chipset and notchless AMOLED display as the regular OnePlus, but it also takes things up a notch by offering a supremely smooth 90Hz display. The OnePlus 7 Pro also employs a 48MP triple camera setup that includes telephoto and wide-angle lenses as well. It houses a 4,000mAh battery and supports 30W Warp Charge as well.

Pixel 3a: Rs 39,999

The Pixel 3a was launched last month as a toned down, mid-range version of the Pixel 3 while retaining the same great cameras. By offering a similar 12MP IMX363 main camera with Google's software chops and a stock Android interface, you're getting the two best features about the premium Pixels but at a more affordable price. The Pixel 3a is powered by a Snapdragon 670 chipset, sports a 5.6-inch display and houses a 3,000mAh battery.

Best phones that money can buy

Huawei P30 Pro: Rs 71,900

There should be a disclaimer before suggesting Huawei and Honor phones right now. With the ongoing ban preventing US companies, especially Google, to work with Huawei, it makes it doubtful that phones like the P30 Pro and Honor 20 will be updated to Android Q in the future. Presently, these phones will receive security updates and are unaffected by the brand, which is why the Huawei P30 Pro is on our list.

Ban aside, the P30 Pro is a stellar flagship that deserves all the praises. It offers a glass design with stunning gradient colours and some of the best camera on a phone right now. It sports a 6.47-inch FHD+ (2340x1080) OLED display and is powered by a powerful Kirin 980 chipset. It runs on Android Pie and offers a stellar battery life with 40W fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy S10+: Rs 73,900

If you are willing to spend a premium on a smartphone, you will want a phone that delivers a complete package, and the Galaxy S10+ does that. The Galaxy S10+ offers a gorgeous curved Infinity-O display and glass back. Inside, the phone is powered by an Exynos 9820 processor coupled with a smooth and improved One UI software. You also get an impressive triple camera setup as well as a full-day battery life.

iPhone XR: Rs 53,999

Nowadays, you can find the iPhone XR for as low as Rs 53,999, which is a significant drop from its original price of Rs 76,999. And if you want an iPhone, it is probably wise to go with the iPhone XR. Despite its shortcomings, the iPhone XR is easily Apple's best iPhone for most people. In our long-term review, we said that the phone ages extremely well, continuing to offer terrific performance with its A12 Bionic chipset, smooth iOS 12 user experience and a fantastic battery life.
