A receipt first, since we haven't met

Plymouth Rock. Everyone photographs it with “1620” cut into it. The rock is about a third of itself; the rest is fragments in the Smithsonian and in pockets. “1620” was carved in 1880. First written mention: 1715 town records. First claim it took the Pilgrims' steps: 1741, from a 94-year-old whose father arrived in 1623. The boulder sits in a pit under a portico in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Check any line against the record yourself.

What I sell

One place you name, checked before I write:

• The newest street-level frames that exist, with their dates and exact coordinates.
• What is actually there now, under 200 words, every claim sourced.
• The honest limits: what the record doesn't show, what no camera reached.
• 48 hours for a place I've already checked; up to seven for a new one. One revision.

A street you grew up on. A house that's gone. A site in the news you're about to trust. Someone who can't get back there this year.
