Yeah we don't know for sure, there was some other guy who is also named Wes. But our Wes did put out a statement concerning this issue so it would point more towards him but it's still not completely clear
I mean, after Mari, Sohinki, Joven, and Lasercorn put out statements distancing themselves from NE6, I would assume that Sonja's talking about Wes Johnson. Wes also put out his statement defending himself and Courtney also sided with Sonja. It's essentially been confirmed that it's Wes Johnson.
I just went down a bit of a twitter rabbit hole after hearing of this just 2 days ago. Not going to name any names, but I've only seen one person post in support of her while I've found many posts from over 4 people in support of him. Now I'm just an internet stranger who doesn't know either party IRL (so take this post at face value), but after looking at everything I've come across, something doesn't sit right.
I truly do not know what the outcome of this situation will be. I love Wes. I’ve been a fan of his for quite some time, and he has been a bright light in my life, but I have to stand with the victim. As a survivor of SA myself, I know the hardships Sonja must’ve faced and the fear she had to of felt before telling her story. However, I also know Wes. I know the cheerful soul that he is. For the most part, Wes is very open with us. He has shared his tears, his heartaches, his fears, etc., etc. Of course, this could all just be some sort of act, but I find it highly unlikely. The probability of false accusations are low, but not impossible. We’ve seen this with Johnny Depp, Justin Bieber, etc. Do I believe Sonja could be lying? I cannot say. I can’t discredit one woman’s story, but ask for mine to be believed. That would be hypocritical of me. However, I can’t help but hope that there is some falsehood in her post when the accused is someone I love. Could that be irrational of me? I suppose, but I’m not sorry. I will continue to support Sonja, but I will also hold on to the chance of Wes being innocent. I will have hope.
High possibility that she is lying and this didn't happen at all another possiblity is that it was consensual and she is still annoyed that he didn't say he had a girlfriend and she jumped on the metoo for attention . Support Sonia in going back to therapy and getting the mental help she needs
His internet persona is not who he truly is, none of us know him irl so we cannot see how he acts, but the people that were close to him and called him a friend no longer support him
Here's my thing, I read this and i feel like she went through a really bad thing and then i see her twitter feed and she is back to doin well normal stuff. On the other hand, her posting this looks really really bad on wes, this is something that can destroy his career. He is already being called all types of names under the sun. Now whether this is real or not, she has no proof. So off course she's deleted the tweet, fearing legal action. But the damage has already been done. In my opinion she should have called him up (gotten in touch through the common friends) and say this to his face, make him apologise because i do believe she is hurt and has been carrying this for a long time. She would have been able to move on.
However if wes has done this multiple times then I think there is nothing wrong with any of this. He needs to be a good human being and come out with the truth. All I can say to all guys out there is just don't even thing of sex when you've been drinking guys, not even with your girlfriend/spouse, we live in crazy times RN.
Exactly! I totally agree with you u/TheFerociousFish . What I didn't like about it was, it seemed like she posted this story to stay relevant in these crazy times. WHY NOW? From the timeline, it happened around 2015-2016 -ish. She is obviously still holding on to the trauma but why handle it in a way with damaging repercussions?
Of course what she felt and experienced is completely valid. But she can't expect Wes to know how she felt unless she talked to him about it. I believe Wes is a genuinely good guy and if he knew that's how she felt, he would have apologized in a heart beat. She could have gotten closure and gone through the process of healing much better.
She really should have done it in private or at least not said his name. She said she didn't want a "witch hunt" but that's exactly what she did. She wanted to hurt him and ruin his reputation. She knows what she did. This "cancel" culture is like a disease. I feel bad about what she experienced but I don't like the way she handled it. Hurt people hurt people.
From my point of view, the oral sex was consensual. What was not consensual was the certain sexual act. Him holding her down so he could "finish" in her mouth/throat. Because they didn't communicate properly beforehand about what her boundaries are and what she is and isn't comfortable with, she felt violated and that's a completely valid reaction and feeling. That sexual act might be normal for Wes but not all girl are used to it or can handle it. It can feel like we're being choked, waterboarded or even go to the wrong pipe. Sorry if that's TMI.
So guys, always ask the girl first before if they are comfortable doing certain sexual acts. Just assume every girl is vanilla. If they want something more, they would say it. COMMUNICATION IS KEY to preventing events like this.
But I also feel like it was more than just the sexual act that hurt her. Once he told her that he had a girlfriend and they had to keep it a secret, she felt even more used and violated. It was an emotional hurt on top of the physical one.

You make some good points and I think her best option if she wanted justice was to go to the police. Right now it seems like she wanted to "cancel" him more than anything else. She posted the images and then deleted them when the damage was done. I'm not taking any sides and I clearly know very little about the situation, but what she did would be considered a dick move in my book.

ETA: I read her statement as saying that she was too drunk to consent to sex, but reasonable people can disagree about that interpretation, so need to caveat here that if she was not too drunk to consent, then the prior statement doesn’t apply. What follows below is still true, though, in any case.

Did you not read the allegation, she says that the whole thing was mostly consensual, please stop spreading this false narrative. Also the only "sex" was oral sex not actual sex. That can still be rape but it's very unclear based on the details of the allegation. And how do you know Wes wasn't drunk as well? She could be not remembering the incident well because of her inhibition

I agree that we don't really know Wes personally so we wouldn't really know what's going on, and anyone can do bad things, but did you read the statement his own BROTHER made, who knows him the best, and knows that someone like him would never do something like this?
