Ukrainian Choral Society named after Mykola Leontovych

Conductor, vocalist, musicologist. The artistic director and conductor of the Vocal Ensemble of contemporary music Alter Ratio.

Was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. Graduated at the R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music and the National Musical Academy of Ukraine named after P. I. Tchaikovsky, department choir conductor (class of L.M. Venediktov). In 2017 Olga received her PhD, the topic of the dissertation "A cappella choral music of second half of XX - beginnings of XXI century: theoretical understanding and performing approaches".

In 2011-2013 she was the Head Choirmaster of the Roman Catholic Church of St. Alexander and in 2016-2017 Head Choirmaster of the Ukrainian Academic Folklore and Ethnographic Ensemble "Kalyna". Since 2014 Choirmaster and Organist in the Superior Institute of Religious Sciences of St. Thomas Aquinas. In 2010 Olga Prykhodko founded Contemporary Music Vocal Ensemble Alter Ratio.

Olga Prykhodko is a fellow of The Noël Minet Fund (DE), a program of the Goethe-Institute Travel Grants for Cultural Experts to Festival in Germany 2016 (UA / DE). In 2017, she received a grant from the President of Ukraine for the creation and implementation of the Mariologia project.

Ola Prykhodko took part in international competitions such as Jāzeps Vītols 5th International Choral Conductors Competition (LV), 6th International Choir Conducting Competition "Towards Polyphony" (PL). She has participated in many international festivals, including International Choral Festival "Polyfollia" (FR), International Polyphonic Competition Gran-Prix of Europe (IT), International Tolosa Choral Contest (ES) and others.

Olga was a participant of workshops as European Academy for Choral Conductors (the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria), Professor Johannes Prinz; workshops within the 6th International Competition for Young Choral Conductors (HU); workshops of the vocal ensemble "King's Singers" within the World Choir Games (LV); workshops of the vocal ensemble Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart within the framework of "Voice Architecture" (UA).

Compiler and editor of the anthology of choral works for singing during the liturgy of the Western Rite, in Ukrainian "Musica Sacra. Pieces for singing during the Mass " (2020, Kairos Publishing House).
