If you’re in a long-distance relationship or just looking for some new fun with your partner, a wearable, app-controlled vibrator offers multiple opportunities for play. I compared two of the most popular new models, the Lovense Lush 2 and the Ohmibod Esca2.
Both the Lush and the Esca have been recently upgraded to new versions, hence the “2.” While they both deliver on long-distance frolic and fun, as well as satisfying solo time, I preferred the Lush 2 for its quiet power, reliable connectivity and unlimited vibe selection. And, it’s fully waterproof, where the Esca2 is not.
The Lush 2 and Esca2 have quite a lot in common:
If anything is going to be based on personal preference it’s a sex toy, right? But before buying and trying, it pays to know as much as you can about its specs and capabilities: design, comfort, effectiveness, battery life and noise level, to name a few. Let’s compare the Lush 2 and Esca2 on all of that and more.
The Lush 2 is a small and flexible egg vibrator with a bulb-shaped part for internal use and an antenna that rests outside of the vagina, near the clitoris. The head of the bulb rests near the G-spot, which is where the stimulation of the Lush 2 takes aim. The bulb is about 1.4 inches thick and a little over 3.1 inches long.
The antenna is a long, curved and slender. It extends outside of the body to pick up the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection so the Lush 2 can be controlled by your partner’s phone. This flexible antenna curves along the outside of your body and is about 4.8 inches long. It has a control button at its very tip, making it easy to operate while wearing.
A hot pink, soft-textured silicone coats the toy from tip-to-bulb.
The compact size of the Lush 2 makes it discreet – and wearable just about anywhere.
Similar in design and size to the Lush 2, the Ohmibod Esca2 is also a flexible vibrator with a bulbous shape on one side and a curved antenna on the other. The antenna sits close to the clitoris and wraps to the outside of the vagina. The head of the vibrator rests near the G-spot and is about 1.3 inches thick and 2.8 inches long.
The antenna is about 4.5 inches long and wraps near the clitoris to the outside of the vagina. On the antenna, there is a button for turning the vibrator on and off.
Where the Esca2 differs from the Lush 2 is right here: there is an LED light on the tip of the antenna meant to provide visual feedback to a partner in the room, over a video sharing app or via webcam.
The Esca2 is also covered in a body-safe silicone over most of the vibrator. The LED light on the end of the antenna is not coated in silicone. This is what keeps the Esca2 from being totally waterproof.
Due to its size and shape, the Esca2 is also discreet and easy to bring along or wear anywhere. However, because of the LED light on the end, a user must be careful and make sure the light is off wearing it in public. Otherwise, that blinking light will be a dead giveaway!
The Lush 2 is just a little more discreet to wear in public, without the worry of a blinking light giving you away! Also, the full coverage in body-safe silicone is a plus. It makes the Lush 2 easier to clean and, as you’ll find out, fully submersible.
That said, some may just prefer the LED light as a bonus for webcam performance or just an exciting way to provide an extra dimension of visual response to a partner.
The Lovense website boasts that at its highest setting, the Lush 2 measures just 45.5 decibels. This is why other reviewers, like Doctor Climax, have called it the quietest egg vibrator on the market.
Underneath that soft pink exterior rumbles an intensely powerful little motor that is virtually silent. To put it in perspective, here are some other common sounds and how they measure up in decibels:
Decibel levels here are as listed by the Center for Hearing and Communication.
And the Lush 2 is even quieter when vibrating inside your vagina – why I give this one an “A” for public play.
The Esca2 is also quiet, but not as quiet as the Lush 2. I couldn’t find its decibel measurement listed, but if I had to guess, based on other vibrators and other familiar sounds, I’d put it between 50-60 decibels.
It’s very quiet once inserted, but not quiet enough for use in an even quieter place like a café, restaurant or at work. Especially on its higher speeds, the sound may be noticeable. If you like a bit of public naughtiness, you must be a bit more careful with the Esca2.
The Lush 2 comes out on top with its super quiet motor. Whether you like public play or just want to feel safe that roommates or family members aren’t cued into your private life, the Lush 2 ensures you’re the only one who knows how much fun you’re having.
The Lush 2 is one of the most comfortable wearable egg vibes. The small size and smooth exterior make it simple and to insert. If you’re at all hesitant, some water-based lube makes it even smoother.
Once Lush 2 is inserted, the soft silicone and flexible shape make it comfortable. You can almost forget it’s there – until it starts to vibrate. They call it a wearable vibrator for a good reason!
Whether you’re lying down, sitting or standing, you’re bound to find the Lush 2 comfortable. It stays in place, and if you are well-lubricated, you’ll feel good in any position.
This toy defines “small-but-mighty.” For its compact size, it wields a strong battery – and delivers some deeply powerful vaginal vibrations that do just what they are supposed to. For a small and quiet toy, it brings intense pleasure.
Compared to almost any internal vibrator of its size, it feels at least twice as powerful. You can expect the Lush 2 to send you into intense, G-spot based orgasms. The website boasts the Lush 2 as “The most powerful Bluetooth remote control vibrator!” And I’d have to agree.
It’s built to be an internal vibrator, but you can get creative with it. Its shape is intended to reach the G-spot. Although the antenna runs alongside the clitoris, in regular play, the vibration over the antenna isn’t powerful enough to cause a whole lot of excitement alone. It’s an antenna, after all!
However, if you rest the vibrating bulb directly on your clitoris with a little pressure, you can take the pleasure to another level.
The vibrations of the Lush 2 are really varied – which is great for mixing things up! You can use the vibrations of the Lush 2 as foreplay, or you can extend and deepen the pleasure by increasing the vibration until you are fully satisfied.
I’d venture to say that most women won’t even mind that this toy can’t thrust since its intensity alone works magic.
The level of vibration can be controlled by your phone, your partner’s or with the manual button.
The Ohmibod Esca also has an egg-shaped design that perfectly stimulates the G-spot once inserted.
At less than 2 ounces, it’s noticeably lighter than the Lush 2 (which weighs a little over 2.5 ounces). It’s slender and smooth shape easily slides into place, especially with lubricant and stays comfortably in place all the while you wear it.
The Esca also has a soft, body-safe coating that almost makes you forget you’re wearing it. However, the LED-tipped antenna is a little bit bulkier than the slightly slenderer version of the Lush 2.
Again, the Esca is like the Lush 2 in that it is built with what the maker’s website calls a “G-spot centric design.”
The focus of the toy is internal stimulation of the G-spot – and it does that well. It has a good, deep rumble and if I weren’t comparing it to the Lush 2, I’d think it was probably the best on the market. However, at its most powerful, it still doesn’t match up to the intensity of the Lush 2.
Where it might have a bit of an edge on the Lush 2 is in the antenna. While the Esca2’s antenna also mainly functions as, well, an antenna, it does have some good, low vibes that constantly stimulate the clitoris. But it does its best work there if you remove the bulb from your vagina and push it up against the clitoris for more intense, climax-inducing vibes.
The level of vibration on the Esca2 can be controlled by your phone, your partner’s or with the manual button.
The Lush 2 and Esca2 come in close on comfort, and they both feel seriously great inside of you. In terms of vibrations, they both get the job done. Where Lush 2 excels is intensity. It’s highly unlikely you’ll be unsatisfied by the depth and force of sensation delivered by the Lush 2.
Both vibrators are a little more complicated than simple plug-and-play personal toys. But technology and connectivity have come a long way.
Whether your partner is next to you in bed, sitting across from you in the café or halfway across the world, the Lush 2 and Esca2 have found a way to let you play together. And set-up is easy.
First, if you don’t like trying to read the tiny book that comes in the box, the Lovense website has full directions for all their toys and models. But if you can connect your phone to your car, you can connect your Lush 2 to your phone with just as much ease.
Make sure the device is off and charge for about 1 hour. When the red light turns off, it’s fully charged.
Wash with water and a mild soap. Dry thoroughly.
Lube yourself and your Lush 2 with a water-based (not silicone- or oil-based) lubricant.
Create a nickname and password for your device
Compatible with iPhone/iPad models, Android 4.3 and later, Mac and PC. Your devices must be Bluetooth-enabled, or you may need a Bluetooth adapter
You only must pair it once, and it works like any other Bluetooth device to get started. Turn on the Lush 2, hit the “link” icon on the app. Search with the “+” until it finds your device. Done!
You’re all set – you can now control remotely from your phone for fun solo play
To experiment with all the different vibes, features, and speeds of the Lush 2, just go to the “Program” tab on the app. You use your phone like any other remote now:
Like any remote-controlled Bluetooth device, the Lush 2 has a great range when there is nothing between the receiver and the remote. If your partner is pointing the device at you and you’re wearing nothing but the Lush 2 – the range really is 45 feet, like the Lovense website says.
However, the website indicates that the range will change, based on where your partner is standing and what position you are in – which is true. Add a layer of clothing to that (such as will be the case in public play), and range can get a little shorter.
Still, connectivity is pretty great when you have the antenna positioned well, and your partner is nearby. Play around with it (that’s the point isn’t it?) and find out what works best for you.
And, of course, for long-distance couples, the internet connectivity depends on the strength and reliability of both your connection and that of your partner. With a strong signal, the Lovense Remote app does not disappoint.
Note: If you have other Lovense toys, you can control more than one of them at a time through the Lovense Remote app.
This takes between 90 minutes and 2 hours. The light will stop blinking when the charge is full.
Pick a nickname and password for your device
Download and install the OhmiBod Remote or FeelConnect app to your phone. This takes just a few minutes.
It’s as easy as turning the Esca2 on (which puts it into Bluetooth mode automatically) and holding it until the LED blinks.
Connect the Esca2 to your phone. You’re now ready to use in manual mode!
You should both have accounts. Just search for each other and connect!
The Esca2 has two modes, manual and remote. Functions include:
Something unique about the Esca2 is the programmability of different combinations of LED light and motor intensity:
Both apps are easy to set up and connect via Bluetooth. And they’re both easy to use. In terms of connectivity, the Lush 2 and Esca 2 stay well-connected though they are both at the mercy of a strong wireless connection. Keep that in mind as you experiment and don’t get frustrated if you have some starts and stops!
Have fun anywhere – literally. The Lush 2 is waterproof and works great in the shower, pool, or anywhere you might be partially or fully submerged!
It is easy to clean the Lush 2 since it’s fully waterproof. You clean it with some warm soapy water or with any sex toy cleaner. And dry thoroughly before storing the toy at a clean place.
Due to its charging port, the Esca2 is water-resistant, instead of being completely waterproof, which means I can’t really use it in the bath or the pool and no shower play.
Both the Lush 2 and Esca2 come inconspicuously packaged, with sleek and stylish boxing inside a plain brown wrapper.
Contents are almost identical between the two:
But the Esca2 has a satin carrying pouch, where the Lush 2 does not. The Esca2 also includes a certificate of authenticity, though I’m not sure you miss that much in the box of the Lush 2!
Both the Lush 2 and Esca two can be recharged by USB port. You don’t have to get in there and replace the battery.
Both apps allow you to block, unblock, and delete connections, as well as decline unwanted requests with relative ease. If you are versed with doing this on your smartphone, you’ll find it just as easy on either remote app.
Both Lovense and Kiiroo have made great vibrators in the Lush 2 and Esca2, respectively. As someone who uses this primarily as a fun toy and for times when my significant other is out of town, I prefer the more powerful motor and the wider range of vibration of the Lush 2 over the showier LED feature of the Esca2.
While I see the webcam-related applications of the LED light, I also like the feel of the Lush 2 over the Esca2 for public play. The lighted antenna feels a little awkward in comparison to the Lush 2’s slimness. And not having to worry about blinking under the table is something that sets my mind at ease!
All in all, the Lush 2 is powerful, comfortable, and intensely effective. You can’t go wrong with that – and with the wide range of options, you won’t get bored, either.

Today, let's talk about remote control egg vibrators! 🙂
When shopping for sex toys, bigger dildos and vibrators easily stand out. However, small vibrators shouldn't be overlooked, especially those ones that can be controlled remotely.
After all, smaller options are often quieter while targeting your hottest spots and in many cases, they provide more power and pleasure instead of lacking it.
In addition, remote control egg vibrators open exciting new doors when it comes to public play because its advantage on size and quietness hide the powerful vibrations. This offers a hot new game for couples.
Think about it, teasing your partner in public offers the perfect fantasy-fulfilling foreplay experience. After all, getting a little naughty in places you shouldn't adds to the excitement.
With all that pent up sexual tension, your resulting bedroom sessions will be even steamier.
That means you can get aroused without ripping your partner's clothes off in front of shocked strangers. Instead, public fun can be a sexy secret kept simply between the two of you.
This is made easy with small app control vibrators - turning your everyday lingerie into a pair of vibrating panties.
With many on the market, choosing a good remote control vibrator may prove difficult. To narrow down your search, we focused on the top two contenders: the Lovense Lush and the Ohmibod Esca.
Which brand offers the best remote control egg vibrators: Lovense or Ohmibod?
Keep reading to learn more about the differences between Lush and Esca, how powerful the vibrations can be, how discreet they are for public and private play, and many more...
First, let's break down a bit on the background of the Lovense Lush and its product evolution.
The Lovense Lush is a small wearable egg vibrator controlled by bluetooth technology that is intended to provide pleasure wherever you are.
By connecting the Lush to the smartphone app, you unlock features like customizable vibration patterns, capabilities to sync to music, voices and VR movements, and device control from anywhere in the world.
If you would like to learn more about Lush 2, read my detailed review here.
In 2015, the Lush first made media headlines by coming out as the first vibrator to be controlled by an Apple watch. After three years and 300,000 vibrators sold, Lovense released the second generation Lush.
Taking negative reviews from the first round into consideration, Lovense increased the power and functionality in the Lush 2. This made long-distance play easier and situated the vibrator controls in a more accessible spot.
With the new upgrades, Lovense deems the Lush 2 four times more powerful than any other vibrating egg on the market and it has very stable connection during discreet public play.
When it comes to quality, the company offers a one-year warranty on its products as added insurance.
Ohmibod Esca, also known as Kiiroo Esca, is another high-tech egg vibrator that was created because of the cooperation between Ohmibod and Kiiroo companies, which are two very prestigious sex toy companies in the industry.
While the Lovense Lush provides just about everything you could want in a remote control egg vibrator, there is another product on the market that gives it some stiff competition.
Similarly, the Ohmibod Esca uses bluetooth capabilities. However, it also takes modern technology one step further by allowing connections to VR content and using bright LED lights to deliver real-time feedback on how well the vibrator is working on a specific area.
If you would like to learn more about Esca, read my detailed review here.
Like the Lovense Lush, Ohmibod released two generations of the Esca vibrator. When it came to revamping their small vibrators, Ohmibod focused on slightly increasing the size and bettering flexibility.
With the easier maneuverability, the Esca 2 replaced and discontinued the original model.
For added fun, the Esca 2 currently syncs to all Ohmibod and Kiiroo toys. Similar to a diet or exercise tracker, the smartphone app also allows you to track your weekly orgasms and pleasure goals.
More specifically, let's now dive into how each product delivers its pleasure. First up, both versions of the Lovense Lush have a C-shaped curved design to target the G-spot.
The upper antenna of Lush 2 offers some clitoral stimulation but is mostly placed for wireless connectivity.
To use either Lush product, the bulkier end is inserted, while the antenna end bends and clips it in place. However, before the fun can start, the toy needs to be charged for around an hour and a half.
Once charged, both the Lush and Lush 2 can last up to around three hours on the lowest settings and around two hours on the higher settings.
Overall, the app comes with seven preset vibration patterns and options for customizable patterns. The settings are controlled through a smartphone app called "Lovense Remote".
First of all, the production of the original Esca (aka. Esca 1) has been discontinued because of the launch of Esca 2. The concept of Esca 1 has been kept on Esca 2 and some updates have been made.
The Esca 2 small vibrator comes with a slightly straighter C-shaped design. Once again, the bulkier end is inserted for G-spot stimulation.
Unlike the Lush 2, the Esca 2 has a light on the upper end that offers signals to your partner on vibrator performance, making the experience more interactive. This relies on sensors that measure your heart beat. In addition, the lit tip offers dual clitoral stimulation.
Before use, the Esca 2 also needs to be charged for an hour and a half and its battery life offers use for up to three hours.
However, the Esca 2 has less settings than the Lush 2. Its three options include high vibration and full LED lights, low vibration with full LED lights and high vibration with
