Ofey | Richard Feynman's Art

4

Richard Feynman started to draw at the age of 44, after befriending an artist named Jerry Zorthian. He wanted to express his emotion about the beauty of the world and the mathematical elegance of nature through his sketches. He mostly drew people, especially female nudes, but also landscapes and objects. He used the pseudonym “Ofey” to sign his drawings and to avoid being recognized as a famous scientist. He continued to draw until the end of his life, leaving behind a collection of his artworks.
