This compound has several coyote (wild dogs) like dogs living with residence on the compound. There have been numerous attacks on humans and dogs and cats. I would recommend if you have small children or any type of animal, this isn't the compound for you. I would suggest living on another compound to avoid being attacked. Management is aware of these dogs but refuses to have these dogs removed from the compound. Why would you want to live on a compound where wild dogs are permitted to stay after they have bitten humans and other domesticated animals. This compound is not recommend until it's safe for animals and humans.
We got promptly moved form our Hotel to Oasis. It appears that it offers a Hotel service/rooms as well as compound facilities. However, the hotel section seems to be very old fashion, with rooms that have a tiny kitchenette. There's no outside window so the rooms feel dark. There seems to be a long walk to all the facilities which hardly made you want to venture from your room. I'm told that the rest of the residences are good and that they have varied facilities, like, Gyms, pools, bowling alley and a couple of restaurants. I think I prefer a normal Hotel.
A home away from home when working in Saudi Arabia, rooms are comfortable and the food is very good - an effort has been made to provide meals for the many different cultures that stay at this compound. A great place to stay if working in the area.
