OVK Music Installation Guide.

HOW TO INSTALL ON A WINDOWS 10 MOBILE (LUMIA) PHONE.

1. Enable Developer Mode:

Settings -> Update & Security -> For developers -> Developer mode.

2. Install the certificate:

Copy the SoundCloudOpenVk.cer file to your phone. 

Tap on it in the phone's File Explorer and select the option to install it into the "Trusted People" store.

3. Install the dependencies from the Dependencies\ARM\ folder:

- Microsoft.NET.CoreRuntime.1.1.appx

- Microsoft.VCLibs.ARM.14.00.appx

4. Install the app itself:

Tap on SoundCloudOpenVk_1.0.0.0_ARM.appx and select "Install." 

(Alternatively, you can upload this .appx file via the Windows Device Portal in your browser).

IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING BACKGROUND MODE AND EXITING:

1. How to minimize the app:

- Press the [Start] button (the Windows logo in the center of the navigation bar) or lock the screen using the power button. 

- The music will continue to play in the background!

2. What happens when you press the "Back" arrow (<):

- In Windows 10 Mobile, pressing the "Back" arrow when there are no previous pages to return to will completely close the app and remove its process from memory. 

- To prevent the music from stopping accidentally, the app blocks the exit on the first press of the "Back" button and displays a prompt. 

- If you truly wish to close the app, press the "Back" button twice in quick succession (within 2.5 seconds).

3. Background playback controls:

- When you press the volume buttons, a system overlay will appear at the top of the screen, showing the track title, artist, and controls for pausing or skipping tracks. - The lock screen displays the current track along with playback controls. 

- Support for buttons on wired and Bluetooth headsets is included.

SERVER:

The application defaults to the server https://api.openvk.org.

If desired, you can select openvk.su or ovk.to, or specify your own custom instance.
