Since February 2016, ANO "Far Eastern Center" is starting to implement a socially significant project "Protection of the rights of families with various forms of placement of orphans and children left without parental care"

Subsidies from the federal budget are provided for the implementation of the activities envisaged by the project.

Project implementation period:  from February 1, 2016 to September 30, 2016.

Target groups of the project : Foster families, guardians, as well as citizens wishing to become foster parents

Project Geography : Primorsky Territory

Justification of the social significance of the project :

In recent years, orphanages have been closed in Primorsky Krai and many families have expressed a desire to become foster parents. From 2010 to 2014, the number of foster families in the region increased by 60% (from 500 to 796). Currently, 1,500 children are being brought up in foster families alone. This form of family placement for orphans and children left without parental care presupposes a child's long-term relationship with strangers. In this regard, foster parents, along with state support, need constant psychological, pedagogical and legal support and assistance from public organizations. Foster families especially need the help of highly qualified specialists. Parents need a discussion platform for communication on the issues of raising children.

Relevant is the process of adaptation of children transferred to education in adolescence. It is important to expand the circle of specialists working with foster families and children, as well as with specialists from Family Accompanying Services. The project activities will significantly strengthen parent-child relations in foster families, will contribute to the reduction of cases of repeated orphanhood, the successful integration of children from foster families into society and the strengthening of social stability in general.

The main goals and objectives of the project :

Purpose: to create a system of work with foster families in the Primorsky Territory through the provision of a wider range of services for parents and children.
