Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Medical Interpreter (English/Spanish). The Medical Interpreter will facilitate effective communication between English-speaking healthcare providers and Spanish-speaking patients. Daily responsibilities include performing medical interpretation in real-time, accurately translating documents, and ensuring the correct use of medical terminology during interactions. The interpreter will uphold confidentiality and cultural sensitivity while supporting clear and accurate exchanges in medical settings. Flexibility and attention to detail are key to succeeding in this role.
Qualifications
* Fluency in both English and Spanish with proficiency in Medical Interpretation and Simultaneous Interpretation techniques
* Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and experience in Translation of medical documents or materials
* Proficiency in Interpreting in various medical settings, including hospitals and clinics
* Strong communication, active listening, and cultural sensitivity skills
* Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
* Certification in medical interpreting or equivalent training is a plus
* Previous experience in the medical field or healthcare-related assignments is highly advantageous
