Use Washers with Nuts and Bolts

People often wonder what is the purpose of using a washer with bolts and nuts? Well, washers help balance the load of the nut and protect the surface from damage. Nuts can have a smooth surface in the form of washers and these washers can prevent the pins from loosening.

In some cases you will need to install a washer on the side of the bolt, but if so the bolt needs to be re-screwed. However, it is not necessary to use the washer all the time with nuts and bolts, but it would be helpful to use it with dowels.

Hand Tools for Nuts and Bolts

Here are some common types of hand tools used to tighten and loosen screws:

 Adjustable Wrench

Adjustable wrenches can tighten and loosen many types of pins, and this makes adjustable wrenches popular. These wrenches come in three common parts, such as a handle with a fixed jaw, a screw driver, and a movable jaw. combination wrench

The combination wrench has a ring and an opening wrench on opposite sides. For heavy duty applications, the box ends are suitable and reduce the risk of lanyard damage. When high speed and accessibility are needed, open ended is best.

Ratchet Wrench

Rackwheels are very similar to a combination wrench, but the best thing about ratchet wheels is that you don't have to reposition them after each turn. You can quickly drive the pins with the ratchet. socket wrench

The socket wrench allows you to screw the pins without repositioning the socket wrench. It has a ratchet-like drive mechanism. When it encounters resistance, you can repeat the process of tightening or loosening the pins.
