“Nurse’s Office” is the fifth track from Melanie Martinez’s sophomore album, K-12 . Several sounds like coughing and ripping of band aids are used in the audio of the track.
On June 17th, 2019, several clips and snippets of Melanie’s upcoming film were shown at the MTV Movie Awards, along with a snippet of the song playing in the background.
In an interview, Martinez said that Nurse’s Office was her favourite song to produce for K-12.
K-12 , Melanie’s sophomore album, was released alongside a movie of the same name. While “Nurse’s Office” plays, Crybaby (Melanie) and a friend are drugged by and kidnapped by school nurses before the goddess comes to save them and let’s them know that they are immortal and that the only way they can truly learn it through experience.
During a Q&A session with her fans hosted on an interview to Build Series , Melanie told that this was her favorite track overall and to write as well.
