Nurse Witch Komugi ( Japanese : ナースウィッチ小麦ちゃんマジカルて , Hepburn : Nāsu Witchi Komugi-chan Majikarute , majikarute is a pun on "magical" and "karte", a German loanword used to refer to medical records) is an original video animation (OVA) anime series co-produced by Tatsunoko Productions and Kyoto Animation . The series lasted for five episodes (six if episode 2.5 that appeared in the middle of the series is included), all of which were released on DVD in North America by ADV Films . A two-episode long sequel OVA series was created, Nurse Witch Komugi-chan Magicarte Z .
The story of the anime is a parody of both The SoulTaker and the magical girl anime genre. It revolves around Komugi Nakahara, a cosplay idol who turns into Magical Nurse Witch Komugi when trouble is around.
While the English dub of the show was adapted by ADV, the original The SoulTaker dub was not. In a rare move, ADV recalled many of the voice actors from The Ocean Group dub of The SoulTaker to reprise their roles in Nurse Witch Komugi to keep consistency between the two dubs.
An anime television series Nurse Witch Komugi R aired from January 10, 2016 to March 27, 2016. [1] The new series is a reboot of the original OVAs.
All but a few characters return from The SoulTaker , appearing as bizarre parodies of themselves.

University of Massachusetts announces $175 million transformational gift to its Medical School
UMass President Marty Meehan said UMass is “committed to excellence and that’s where UMass Medical School is leading the way.”
Chancellor Michael F. Collins said the gift is unrestricted, “which is rare, and quite frankly a dream come true for a university.”
Gerald Chan, representing The Morningside Foundation, said their gift is intended to draw attention to the “urgent need for supporting our state universities at a time when resources available to them lag far behind the resources available to the elite private universities, notwithstanding the fact that it is the state universities that educate the vast majority of college students in this country.”
Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker said UMass Chan Medical School’s high ranking in primary care education is key.
UMass board trustee Chioma Okwara, MD’17, cited her own experience as a student at UMass Chan Medical School in recognizing the value of the university and the importance of the gift.

On Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, the University of Massachusetts announced a history-making $175 million donation from The Morningside Foundation to UMass Medical School.
The transformational gift is unrestricted and will nearly double the Medical School’s endowment. It comes as the Medical School celebrates its 50th year of educating future physicians, nursing leaders and biomedical scientists and as its Nobel Prize-winning research enterprise has grown to $400 million.
In recognition of the gift and of the deep commitment to education, research and health care by the Chan family of investors, entrepreneurs and philanthropists, UMass Medical School will be renamed the UMass Chan Medical School. Its three graduate schools will be renamed: the T.H. Chan School of Medicine; the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing; and the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
UMass Board of Trustees member Noreen “Chioma” Okwara, MD’17, was called a ‘dreamer’ for aspiring to practice medicine. She is now a clinician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Chancellor Michael F. Collins gave his annual Convocation address on Thursday, Sept. 9, in the Albert Sherman Center Auditorium, focusing on the “transformational moment” for the institution. Four faculty members were honored with Chancellor’s Medals, including the late Robert Finberg.
