Ciara Romero, 20, was killed during a bungee jumping incident in Grand Junction, Colorado. (Facebook)
A Colorado woman’s death remains a mystery after investigators said the device at the center of her bungee jumping accident was functioning properly.
The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment worked with manufacturer Head Rush Technologies to test the device and is not investigating other potential reasons for the Jan. 4 fall that killed 20-year-old Ciara Romero, reports the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel.
Romero was participating in a 70-foot bungee-jump feature at Get Air at the Silo when she fell. Participants climb one of the silo’s towers, then transfer to a wooden platform and jump off while attached to a rope.
Participants then fall for about 20 feet and are caught by the device and lowered slowly to the ground.
“This inspection involved testing which subjected the device to various loading profiles across a range of weights, where the velocity and force were recorded in simulated descents,” according to a statement from the company published by the Sentinel.

“The inspection and testing determined that the device, webbing and triple-locking carabiner were found to be intact, and functioning normally, with no apparent damage,” the company said.
Now that they have ruled out the device as a factor in her death, state investigators will examine witness statements and continue to share information with local police.
"We're looking at all possible causes," Cher Haavind, a spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, told the Sentinel. "This is extremely rare, which is why the investigation is taking longer."
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Jordan Johnson-Hinds, Nicola Correia-Damude, Alexandra Ordolis, Humberly Gonzalez, Paulino Nunes, Raymond Ablack, and Randal Edwards all previously worked on the television series, Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments (2016). Ordolis and Nunes played husband and wife and had recurring roles while others played minor roles.
It was an interesting concept to have a show called "Nurses" written by aliens who had never been to Earth, from some planet that doesn't have hospitals. But this show managed to find such writers, and the results are absolutely hilarious (unless you were hoping for an accurate hispital drama). Looking forward to further episodes. But this time I'll invite in friends from the medical profession and we'll play a drinking game. Every time someone shouts "Noooooo!!!!" or "That would never happen!", they have to take a sip of their drink. Real nurses will be hammered by the first ad.
