Numpad Minus then Rotation: five clicks that turn a Litematica hologram
Minecraft Schematic GeneratorA loaded .litematic does not spin from the Load Schematics list. Rotation lives on the placement you selected in this world. The downloaded file stays as it was.
The full click order, including the case where the Rotation button does nothing, is written up as how to rotate schematics in Litematica.
What you actually click
- Load the file and create a placement. The row in Load Schematics is not the thing that turns.
- Open Schematic Placements (M+P) and click the row until it has the white outline. Middle-click the hologram with the stick in Schematic Placement mode also selects it.
- Press Numpad Minus, or click Configure. Laptops without a numpad bind
openGuiPlacementSettingsunder M+C, Hotkeys. - Click Rotation once per quarter turn, clockwise: none, 90, 180, 270, then none again. The action bar should print “Placement rotated to …”.
- Use Mirror only when the build should be flipped. That control is a different transform.
Why the house jumps sideways
The turn pivots on the placement origin. Files compiled as a single region put that origin at the minimum corner, so the hologram orbits the corner instead of spinning in place. Nudge it back onto the ground after the click.
There is no 15° or 45° slider. Both the button and the rotate hotkey only offer the four BlockRotation values.
When the button is dead
A locked placement prints that it cannot be modified. Unlock it on the same screen. If there is no message and no “Placement rotated to …” line, the row is not selected, or you are pressing a hotkey that was never bound. On the 1.21.4 build, schematicPlacementRotation starts empty; the on-screen button still works.
Those chords are MaLiLib binds, not vanilla Controls. The rest of the 1.21.4 defaults sit on the Hotkeys tab (M+C).
