Nearly 60% of technical and vocational education teachers are under 40

The following figures highlight the strong presence of young educators who are open to modern approaches and new perspectives in Uzbekistan’s technical and vocational education system.

Currently, 27,911 teachers are working in the country’s technical colleges. Of these, 16,424 — or 58.9% — are under the age of 40.

Of this total:

➖ 8,556 teachers are under 30;

➖ 7,868 teachers are aged 30–39.

These figures indicate the growing presence of a new generation of young professionals in the technical and vocational education system.

By region, the share of teachers under 40 is particularly high in Navoi Region at 67% and Bukhara Region at 66.7%.
