I work with 13 -14 year olds at a type of school and they are currently under quarantine. I want to show them dragonball z but I don't really have time to re watch it to make sure there's no nudity in it. Do any of yall know scenes and episodes that may have some. I would really appreciate it
Goku standing naked like a Chad as a Super Saiyan in front of Gotenks comes to mind
Also Gohan shrinking after great ape like twice in the Saiyan Saga
I completely forgot about that scene🤣 But it's just the butt right? For him and Gohan?
Goten's inferiority complex started this day
Can't tell you how many times I've seen Goku and Gohan little kid peepee.
I just finished watching the OG Dragonball series, and it felt like I saw Goku’s dick more times than I’ve seen my own.
Tree of Might and 2 instances in the Saiyan saga show kid Gohan penis. In the Namek saga, there is one instance of naked Bulma, but censored by bath bubbles. Other than that, you’re good
I didn't realize the show showed Gohan penis too. I know the movies tend to. Tree of might, episode of bardock I know show penis
Dragon Ball has a bit more if I remember correctly. Honestly I dunno if DBZ has any in regards to the anime. Probably like Goku's and Gohan's butts are shown. I know Dragon Ball shows Bulma's boobs and butt briefly.
As far as I know, there aren't too many scenes that have nudity, but other than the ones others have mentioned, there's a prime bit of Goku ass in the filler with Princess Snake. Other then that, it's mostly just shirtless guys, as long as your school has no problem with that.
Don't think it should be. I just wanna avoid little boy penis. A flash of the butt maybe should be avoided but the penis is the main concern. They've watched the michael bay transformers and Hobbs and shaw
Gotenks and by extension goten and trunks do flip the middle finger and shows off butt often.
„˙uǝʇɟo ʇʇnq ɟɟo sʍoɥs puɐ ɹǝƃuıɟ ǝlppıɯ ǝɥʇ dılɟ op sʞunɹʇ puɐ uǝʇoƃ uoısuǝʇxǝ ʎq puɐ sʞuǝʇo⅁„
It's definitely not on funimation though
No nudity as in Z as far as I can recall, but if you really want to be safe show them the American version that aired on Toonami as a lot of the suggestive stuff was edited out.
Violence isn't really an issue here. I know what to expect in that department. They watch Hobbs and shaw and other current action movies. It's just any nudity I'm worried about. I know the movies show Gohans privates but idk if it's in the show
There is a lot of nudity in DBZ. Pretty much every major male character's ass is on record.

For a show marketed for children, the original Dragon Ball series had a lot of sexual under and overtones.
One of the main characters, Bulma , is the definition of fan service. Every time she is featured in a scene she brings sexual elements with her. Some of these scenes were edited for the American release, but there were still plenty of sexual innuendos in the American version as well.
Interestingly, many of these sexual scenes were not included in the original manga and only in the anime series.
Today we are going to go through all of the sexual scenes involving Bulma from Dragon Ball .
Click start slideshow to see what you have may not remember from the first time you watched the series.
Starting off right off the bat in episode 1, we see Bulma 's underwear. Even though this scene is innocent in nature as Goku is just checking to see if she had a tail, it is important to note that this is the first time we see Bulma. In the first scene she appears in we see her underwear as Goku lifts her skirt with his staff.
Also in the first episode, Bulma shows Goku her panties on purpose. She shows them in order to seduce Goku, for his Dragon Ball . "you let me have your Dragon Ball, and i'll let you have a little peek." Goku responds with, "What do I care about seeing your dirty ol fanny." This was the first sexual reference in Dragon Ball, and makes you wonder how Bulma got her other dragon balls.
Episode 2 has one of the most sexual moments in the whole series, with the pat test. Bulma is asleep in bed and Goku cuddles between her legs and then realizes that "there is nothing there". He then checks under her underwear and screams, when she wakes up he says "your balls, they are gone!". She thinks he is talking about her dragon balls, but he is not referring to those.
Ah the infamous flash scene, one of the most referenced scenes when it comes to fan service and innuendo in the Dragon Ball series. In exchange for the dirty old man Master Roshi's dragon ball, Bulma meets his perverted wish and flashes him. The scene shows Bulma's full naked rear, and is one of the most well known sexual scenes from the series.
In episode six we see the scene that is arguably one of the best fan service scenes in the whole Dragon Ball franchise. Yamucha sneaks up to investigate the trailer and catches Bulma in the shower. This scene shows a full body shot of nude Bulma from behind with a full slow pan. This scene then goes right into Bulma coming out in her towel and walking round as well.
In episode 8 the World Martial Arts Tournament is happening and Bulma makes Oolong to be a stool so she can see whats going on. When she steps up on his back we get a classic upskirt and a view of Bulma's panties. Throughout the episode there is multiple times when he changes positions to get her higher and he keeps catching peeks. Then Oolong falls and Bulma lands on the ground with her skirt up for everyone to see.
While in the cave with Goku and Krillin, Bulma triggers a trap. They end up hanging on for dear life to Goku's pole, and Krillin accidentally pulls down Bulma's shorts a bit and catches a peek at her underwear. He then takes advantage of the situation and pulls them down more. The gang escapes but Bulma's but was lightly singed and there is a scene of her with her pants down checking her toasted buns.
In this scene, in order see an invisible opponent, Krillin exposes Bulma's breasts to Roshi in order to cause the classic anime nosebleed. This scene shows a full exposure of Bulma 's breast for a split second, and causes Master Roshi's extreme nose bleed.
Bulma is on the beach sunbathing, and she takes off her top and asks Puar to rub her with tanning lotion. Oolong takes the moment to do it himself, and she freaks out hopping up covering herself with her arms.

Dragon Ball Super might be in one of the most intense arcs in the series thus far as Goku and Vegeta are scattered through the universe after their major loss to Planet Eater Moro , but at the end of the day this is a Dragon Ball story. There's still plenty of room and time for humor as a way to ease the tension. The best jokes in the franchise are introduced into the series naturally, and just highlight how weird the world is.
This is especially true in the latest chapter of Dragon Ball Super as it's revealed that Jaco's been completely nude this whole time, much to the shock of Goku and fans of the series.
In Chapter 51 of the series, the Galactic King gets out of his bathtub completely naked. The Galactic Patrol say it's an unbecoming look, and he's embarrassed, until he puts his crown on. Goku makes a point to Jaco that the Galactic King is still naked, and Jaco argues that he's got his crown on. Then Jaco points to his lower body and says, "Let me guess, you thought I was wearing pants this whole time?" before the manga pauses for a panel on his groin as Goku comes to the hilarious realization.
Not only is this a fun joke, this also highlights one of Dragon Ball's strengths. It can still be wacky admits even the most dire of its situations. There's never too much sense of dread or hopelessness because occasional jokes keep it light. That is until we get to the final act of this arc. The series is teasing a third match between Goku, Vegeta, and Moro and each of these three are preparing for that confrontation in their own way.
With Goku training with a new teacher to master Ultra Instinct , Vegeta heading to Yardrat to learn new tricks that could give him an edge over both Moro and Goku, and Moro killing planets and steadily growing stronger , jokes like these are a nice moment of reprieve before all of that kicks in.
Dragon Ball Super currently airs its English dub on Adult Swim during the Toonami programming block on Saturday evenings, and is also available to stream on Funimation and Amazon Video. The Japanese-language release of the series is complete, and available to stream on FunimationNOW and Crunchyroll. The manga has chapters that can currently be read for free thanks to Viz Media, and Dragon Ball Super's big movie, Dragon Ball Super: Broly , is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.

When Dragon Ball and DBZ came to America, these less-than-family-friendly scenes had to be censored or completely removed.
The standards of animated television are a bit different in Japan, and unlike in America, there isn't still a stigma of adults watching cartoons. The Dragon Ball franchise wasn't necessarily aimed at kids when it first came out, especially not Dragon Ball Z . However, when it found its way to America, it was marketed like any other cartoon, which meant that it had to adhere to the standards of American television. Instead of upping the rating of the English dub of Dragon Ball , a lot of time and effort was put into censoring the show to make it more "appropriate" for children.
As time went on and the American anime market grew, Dragon Ball eventually got more mature releases without the censoring. But the older releases wouldn't be the only censored versions of the series, since the Nicktoons broadcasts of Dragon Ball Z Kai saw some heavy editing as well. Of course, nowadays, fans can enjoy the uncut versions via DVDs, Blu-Ray or streaming services, but it's still crazy to look back at all the changes that were made to the franchise to make it more "family-friendly." There were many things in Dragon Ball that were censored in America, though one thing definitely slipped through the cracks.
Like we just mentioned, when Dragon Ball Z came over to America, it was geared towards a younger audience; as such, there were certain changes made so that it would fall in line with children's television standards. One of the big taboos with kids cartoons is showing a kid in mortal danger, which is kind of hard to avoid with Dragon Ball.
In literally the second episode, Gohan is kidnapped by Raditz, which presented quite the problem for the "no kids in danger" rule. The early American broadcast found a way around this by making it appear as though Gohan was not as distressed over the situation. This was done by editing out his tears, implying that his being kidnapped was less dangerous and scary as it originally appeared.
Though the American release of the original Dragon Ball series came a long time after Dragon Ball Z finished airing, it was still subject to just as much censoring. One of the biggest issues that came with bringing the original series over was all of the times that characters were shown without clothes. Goku and Bulma had to be censored on a few occasions, which included anything from adding underwear onto characters to cutting scenes entirely.
A similar trend was seen in the early days of Dragon Ball Z , since Gohan, much like his father, had a tendency to lose his clothes on more than one occasion. Most of these scenes were easily (if not a bit obviously) fixed and not really "missed" by anyone looking for the best version of Dragon Ball to watch, as the censorship was reasonable to begin with.
Death was a big issue when it came to the American broadcast of Dragon Ball Z , and Funimation skirted around it in somewhat creative ways that were ultimately ridiculous and laughable in retrospect. One of the ways the show avoided death was by saying that characters were transported to "another dimension" when they were defeated.
Rolling with this concept, characters' bodies would be edited to disappear before the character appeared to be dead. This disappearing act was used a couple times over, one of the more memorable examples being Yamcha's infamous "crater scene." In the edited version, Yamcha didn't even appear after the Saibaman exploded, as the crater was pained over to appear empty, covering up his dead body. How could they deny us one of the most infamous death scenes in Dragon Ball history!?
So, if death was changed to being transported to "another dimension" in early broadcasts of Dragon Ball , then what exactly was this dimensions and how did the censors manage to work around the idea of the afterlife? And what about the fact that Hell as a concept was present in the series? The solution to all these issues came in the form of one of the most ridiculously laughable forms of censorship in the history of pop culture.
In a filler episode in which Goku fell down to Hell on his way down Snake Way, he came across two ogres wearing shirts that said "Hell." Now, since they couldn't call this place "Hell" or even include the word, the "E" on their shirts was changed to an "F," and the letters stood for the "Home For Infinite Losers." It was honestly a pretty brilliant solution, but that doesn't make it any less hilarious.
One of the other ways that death was censored in Dragon Ball was by cutting or editing all the over-the-top death scenes. Scenes like Guldo's death were digitally altered to further push the concept of being sent to "the next dimension." Instead of Guldo being decapitated as he was in the original version, the episode cut straight to his defeat, his head being re-attached using digital paint.
A similar cut was made in the Nicktoons broadcast of Dragon Ball Z Kai during Goku's death. Though the "other dimension" concept was not used in Kai , the death scenes still had to be edited for the Nicktoons release, which is why Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon did not go all the way through Goku, and the bloody hole that it would have caused was edited out, as was the blood from Raditz's wound and mouth.
Since death was a taboo for the American release of Dragon Ball , the idea of one character killing another was also skirted around with caution. So, in quite a few versions of the dub, characters who threatened the lives of others never said they were going to "kill," and instead they favored terms like"destroy."
In our opinion, "destroy" actually seems a lot worse, since it implies way more tragedy is going to be involved; regardless, this terminology worked to get various bits of dialogue through the censors. The best example of this came in the Buu saga, in which Gohan tells Super Buu that he wanted to
