I visited Rock Lodge with my adult daughter last summer, simply to enjoy a late summer day in the sun. We found a place near the lake to sit and have lunch, along with a book and a bottle of wine. A really nice day! This is an "old school" kind of place, with membership requirements for regulars that can be a bit tricky to navigate for the casual guest. That said, they seem to have done well in marketing to younger folk from NYC who make day trips out here, and it was great to see several families as well. The requisite tour from the guy working the office that day was a bit off-putting, but it's just part of the experience when you visit a nudist place in the US. There's no pool - only a lake, but lots of people swim in the lake, along with small boats and paddleboards. Overall, a serene environment, not so far from suburbia, but seemingly a world away!…

A nice warm in the sun. A very family friendly place to enjoy being in nature while being in the buff. Nonjudgmental, friendly, beautiful setting, good short hikes. The trail around the lake checks out at .34 miles. People of all ages, shapes and sizes.

I came here for an open house. I was curious what was on offer and how I'd feel. It is a private Naturist club in the hills of northern New Jersey. The tempo was relaxed. The folks there just about as laid back as possible and still be awake. There was brain work being done. Good conversation. The pond is perfect. I hiked about 4 miles, in the buff, on trails within the property. There were families in attendance with young singles, couples, and older folks too. In fact, most of the folks there when I visited were older. Contrary to what some might expect there was no gawking. It was pretty much mature behavior from people as young a toddlers and old as, well, they were probsbly born before FDR was President. If you have a naturist bent give this place a try. Come for a day or stay for a week.…
Room Tip: This is not really a hotel as such. It is a naturist (nudist) retreat. There are accommodations...

the people were friendly enough, but it just wasn't what we like. To straight laced for our taste. The hot tub was nice if just a bit too hot, there was no pool, just a small beach at a small lake. No snack bar, not even a vending machine. If you want a quiet restful place this might be for you.
Room Tip: They do have a few small rooms to rent
