I stumbled across something on the net that both deeply disturbed me and got me thinking. I think most people are familiar with the nudist lifestyle, it is not something I subscribe to but I say each to his own.

The "problem" if one can call it that is when this includes minors. I am honestly confused, should you be allowed to expose your children to the nudist lifestyle? Should they be made to partake in this lifestyle? What happens when you take pictures of your lifestyle and that picture includes a minor, is that child pornography? What happens if those pictures wind up on the net, is that child pornography?

My feeling is that only consenting adults should be allowed to follow this lifestyle and minors should not be allowed anywhere near this. Is this just really harmless or am I being a narrow minded bigot or hypocrite?
hmmm ..... I reckon there's nothing wrong with whole families living that lifestyle if they so choose. I think it's only really the States that has real issues with nude minors constituting child-porn afaik ...... there will always be perves for every perversion out there, no matter what. It would be wrong to think that a nudist parent taking pics of their kids should be looked upon as something dirty, when it isn't. Just my 2c.

outside of my very close family and my closest friend or two i would not want my children to be naked in front of any other adult (7 & 11). inside the family unit it is fairly relaxed

Nudism is the most popular in European societies where religion is outlawed.

Because as soon as a religion doesn't form the basis of a society's moral values ... moral values disappear.

Thats where you're wrong. Morals and religion is two seperate things.
First off. The only problem here is that nudity is normally taught as being "wrong". Adam and Eve were nude when they frolocked around in the garden of eden yadayadayada.......
I attended a lecture at my son's school, given by a guy from Rapewise, which is an organisation that specialises in child abuse cases, etc. They try to educate schools - kids and teachers, about the law regarding sexual abuse and whatnot, amongst other things like counselling, educating law enforcement, etc.

He basically went through the sexual abuse related laws, and how they have recently changed.

He cited some examples, some of which particularly sticks in my mind:

If for example, you have two children, and they're playing the fool... one of them takes mommy's cell phone, and takes photos of his brother while he's in the bath.
Later on, the mom is stopped - say, at a road block, and those photos are found on her phone, she will get nailed for possession of child pornography, even if she was completely unaware of them being there.

There have been cases where teenagers (below legal age) have used their cell phones to take photos / videos of themselves having sex - they have been brought up on charges for making & distributing child pornography (not to mention the statutory rape charges etc).

The new laws even go so far as to say that it is illegal for new parents to have sex while their baby is in the same room. While this may seem ridiculous to some, the lecturer explained the reasoning behind it, so I get the point.

Also, if any adult is made aware of underage people having sex, they are obliged by law to inform the authorities, otherwise they can be charged as an accessory.

There was a ton of information to process. I have a manual that explains it at home. VERY frightening stuff, actually.

Poppy Cock I am not religious and I have morals and quite frankly I think I have better morals than some religious people I know.

Underage as in 16? Then I think a whole lot of people will go to prison in these times... Isnt the statistic for girls loosing their virginity something like 14 now
I'm saying that those morals you have, you acquired because you have been living in a society that has had it's morals based on religion for many generations. Even if you are not religious you still accepted them as the norm.

If you had been living in one of the Eastern-European countries where there little to none religious activities you would have had a very different set of values, if any.
