having come here for 7 years now, I think it appropriate to say how this whole experience has degenerated over each year. When I first came here it was a thriving, busy, exciting place to be. Now it's a run down shadow of those former years and in desperate need of investment. It's not just the infrastructure that is poor, it has, in my opinion, self destructed with the lack of care and service for its audience. Let's be honest there is no where like it on the planet for this kind of adult lifestyle, the clubs bars and beach have been rocking over the years but now, it's a sad, somewhat unfriendly place. The bars have been known for pricing themselves too high but they continue to cut corners and reduce service. The capital of fun Melrose bar is now half empty on weekends and yet they have not even attempted to win back custom. They simply abuse the loyalty of their followers. It started 3 years ago when they changed their DJ. The music was appalling and considering the majority of their customers are over 30' they completly missed the beat. Eros has been reinvented and is probably the better bar but they will not allow anyone but couples to go in. I understand that to a point but they really do loose out when decent, affluent people want to go into the bar and a single friend is stopped at the door. It would be unreasonable of me to just run down a few bars but my message is one to the owners of this establishment. Your loyal followers are leaving in their droves and unless you embrace the culture of good service and pleasant attitude, we will continue to leave. Both le glamour and Tantra are half full/empty on some weekend nights. I can remember 3 dance floors in le glamour being full, now there is only one with areas blanked off. I have stayed at every large establishment on the area, including Eden, Ozinn and the rest and none of them stand out. Eden charges over 400 euros a night! And they won't even change the towels. It's laughable. The bar serves extortionate drinks and some weekends I have seen fully clothed parties of people allowed in. There are a few restaurants that keep up appearances, including le Mississippi which I have rediscovered after a period of lack lustre food. I now stay on the campsite, which in the UK would be closed for health and safety. It's.... Ok but nothing special. Again attitudes are poor and there is a lack of customer service. They are trying however and so I give them 1 extra point for that. There have been some small improvements to the site. All in all, the cap experience has failed now for a few years and continues to attract less and less followers. Someone, someday will get a grip and look after the loyal customers before someone else in Europe does so. It would only take a resort to open in Spain or elsewhere that is easily accessible to take away this loyal group. Come on Cap pull your finger out!
The TV programm was only in French, very fee programms and not inviting when waether condition is bad. The Restaurants are good, nice staff in the eintire Area, but very little attention to the inroom service. Will not go back ehrn improvements are not being made. It's better to stay in a hotel, even when a little more expensive. Improve and you will have more guests in the Village.
it's like heaven on earth. the last day i cant imagine being dressed the rest of the year again. Nice people (a handful of lonely stupid men too), naked trying on dresses in the shops, no fitting room required. I love the camping, meeting people at the beach and private parties.
We visited Agde naturist quarter to evaluate it as a place to staton a boat, as we are naturists and sailors. It disappointed us. THough it has a lovely beach the actual town is now very over- built and urban, but. Main thing which put us off was the attmosphere of sexual licence everywhere. From the time we had coffee in a cafe with phallic cruets on the tables to witnessing openly exhibitionist sex on the beach, an undercurrent of sex is everywhere. Agde has departed from its proper naturist origins and is now a swingers, voyeurs and exhibitionist resort. I would certainly not take children there, and I would think that most genuine naturists would not want to be associated with the place now..
We found the whole experience very relaxing, nobody cared how you looked, great atmosphere, would like to go back soon.
I got taken here as a present by my boss from work. Stayed in the naturist village. I looked it up before I went and it looked like an interesting place for the sexually adventurous. Expensive, but I didn't pay. I'm no prude and my virginity went years ago. Here I lost it 30 times over in various ways. Did I enjoy it. I certainly did!

The most surreal part of a trip to the resort village in Cap d’Agde can be on your first ever visit, as you enter the resort for the first time.
You have planned the trip, anticipated what the experience will be like and you will have your own idea of what to expect and what goes on in the resort.
As with any holiday destination worldwide though, it is rarely the same as you imagine and with a resort such as Cap, the expectations can be even more dynamic given that this is a clothes-free resort.
So what should you expect when first coming to this resort?
As your first-ever trip to the resort gets closer and closer, the combination of excitement and nervousness is the cocktail of emotions you will feel.
What really and exactly will it be like when entering the resort?
What will it look like and will you see people walking around naked as soon as you enter.
What if you get nervous and do not feel like taking my clothes off?
Is it easy to get into the resort when reaching the entrance?
On arriving at the resort entrance, there is an office just to the right of the main gate (as you look in towards the resort).
In the front-office, you can get the entrance card and this will normally cost roughly Euros 15.
As you enter through the main entrance gate, you will not actually see that many people immediately as you will have a couple of minutes’ walk or 30 seconds drive to your apartment, rental agency office or campsite .
The further you go into the resort, the more people you will begin to see.
There are people who do walk clothed around the resort i.e. they might be day visitors heading out to the clothes area, or even just arrived themselves and summoning the bravery to shed their clothes.
Once you reach the beach area though, you will be faced almost exclusively with naked bodies.
You do not have to get down to your birthday suit as soon as you arrive but certainly, it is best to get into the spirit of things as soon as possible if you really want to make embrace the reason why you chose Cap d’Agde.
You will also find that the sooner you get nude, the easier it will be. The longer you wait, the more difficult it might be.
If you do find yourself suddenly shy to embrace the naturist element of the resort, what you will find is that a walk down to the beach will suddenly relieve your concerns.
99% of people on the beach are clothes free and you will soon realise that you will look more silly with clothes on than you will without any.
Walking along the sea-front wearing anything will get your stares given that you will be the odd one out.
Once inside the resort, you will want first to get checked in i.e. with your rental agency , apartment, hotel or to the campsite (easier to find your credit card when you have clothes on)!
Once the booking and bags are all sorted and accommodation organised, just head towards the beach and get an immediate appreciation for the resort and the feel for the enjoyment ahead.
We do not tend to lie in bed at Cap dAgde in the mornings as there is too much to do and see, so we are up at 8.30 or 9.00 am.
We often breakfast at L’Horizon where it is just so nice to sit naked on the terrace.
We take a leisurely breakfast of bread, croissants, coffee or sometimes bacon and eggs and enjoys the views.
The Mediterranean shimmers and slowly people start to fill the beach, bathing nude under the warm sun.
Enjoying time away from the daily toil back home, afterwards perhaps a little shopping, including checking out the fashions and purchase for Mrs P to wear in the evening.
This year in our second week however, we stayed at Babylone , so the routine varied a little.
A brief stroll through the village to the bakery and supermarket.
The proprietor of the bakery is so jolly, a bonjour, bon vacance for each customer.
This week, back to the apartment and breakfast on the terrace.
Then a spell by the pool and then we often go to the beach around lunchtime and may park ourselves on the sunbeds at Les Galions or this year we enjoyed the beds below the beach restaurant just before the couple’s beach.
The service here was great and the wines and food enjoyable. Then a read of the newspaper or a book and time for a walk along the beach to cool off in the breeze and to enjoy the views.
In the late afternoon or early evening, we return to the apartment and dress for the night ahead.
We like to dine at Jardin 16; always reliable and the chance to chat over dinner and perhaps make conversation with the neighbouring table.
This year we met a lovely couple from London who were both 84 and had been going to Cap D’Agde for many years!
Afterwards a promenade, perhaps a drink at Waikiki Beach to take in the sights.
Melrose Bar is a favourite of ours and on a good night, the atmosphere rocks and the sexual tension is so acute.
We always try and take in a mousse party and this year were lucky enough to be at Babylone when they had a pool party for the SDC crowd. And what a party it was!
We remember all these lovely experiences and especially as the winter draws close, they keep us going until summer next year when we can do it all again!
Unless you have been to the resort before, it is really hard to be sure what facilities are available within the resort and what you will need the resort for?
People often wonder if you have to dress up, for example, to go shopping outside of the resort gates?
The situation is that you can get everything you need within the resort and this includes food.
Inside the naturist resort there are roughly:
You do not need to bring food with you because you will find everything you will need available in the resort.
Hi, Very good description of the naturist resort of Cap d’Agde for an First Time Visitor, We are a couple, aged 45 and spending our summer hollidays for the first 2 weeks in August at Cap d’Agde since 2006. Indeed when the weather is fine, during the day, most people are walking around the resort naked, some women wear a pareo. We notived over the last 3 summers that a majority,+-70 %, of the women have little or no pubic hair. Most of the them are fully shaved or waxed. You can 3 Beauty shops inside the resort offering complete pubic hair waxing. In August 2011 Joelle had her pubic hair completely waxed at the beauty shop Ladybel near Port Ambone.
Hi! What about the sunbeds and sunshades? Are they for rent there? How much it might cost per day? Many thanks!
Hi Mario. Yes, there are two sections on the beach where you can rent sunbeds and the come with a shade cover or umbrella. I am not sure of the prices for this year but it is something like 15 Euros a day each I think. I am not totally sure of the prices. For 2 people though expect o pay around Euros 30. This is why my wife and I ended up buying our own from the Green Bazaar shop inside the resort.

Claudia and Pepe Aguirre are husband and wife and the founders of a luxury vacation business for swingers.
They recently hosted 65 swinger couples at resort in Cap d'Agde, France, a nudist village.
Take a tour of the resort when swingers took it over for a steamy hot vax summer getaway.
In mid-July, 130 swingers, romantic couples who consensually swap partners for sex, descended upon a French naturist village for the hot post-vaccine summer of their dreams.
Claudia and Pepe Aguirre, a swinger husband-wife duo and founders of Luxury Lifestyle Vacations (LLV), organized the annual trip for the tenth year in a row.
They told Insider this year's getaway was more sexually charged than ever before, despite fewer people in attendance due to the pandemic.
"You would think it would be tampered down by COVID but quite the opposite. There are a lot of folks there in their 60s and 70s and they know they don't have many years left with their partners. You could literally see the sexual liberation in the air," Melissa Vitale, a publicist for Luxury Lifestyle Vacations who attended the trip, told Insider.
Since most of the Aguirres' swinger clientele come from the United States, they take extra care to acclimate them to the more open sexual environment Europe offers. After giving guests a tour of the resort's amenities, they set them free for a week of sex, pool parties, fine dining, naked sunbathing, and clubbing.
Take a look inside the stripped-down experience:
Cap d'Agde is a naturist village that sits on France's Mediterranean coast, an hour south of Montpellier where the nearest airport is stationed.
The village is home to an estimated 25,000 permanent residents, plus a seaside resort called Jardin d'Eden. The village hosts thousands of out-of-town swingers every year.
When guests arrive at Jardin d'Eden for a Luxury Lifestyle Vacation getaway, Claudia and Pepe Aguirre greet them in a branded golf cart.
To get the VIP treatment from the Aguirres, you have to book the trip through their website.
There's still plenty of opportunities to mingle with other resort guests and beachgoers, they told Insider.
Jardin d'Eden looks out over the beach, where naked adults, teens, and children soak up the sun.
Shirts, pants, and skirts are optional at the resort and throughout the entire village. The most 'covered up' guests will throw a scarf or towel over their shoulder, said Pepe.
At the pool, guests can lounge around, swim, and mingle with other swingers. It's located at a neighboring club, called Glamour Beach.
Hot pink lounge beds allow guests to have sex anywhere, any time.
According to Vitale, swingers had sex on every surface imaginable in broad daylight.
Each bed was outfitted with condoms and handcuffs.
For a more intimate poolside experience, guests could hop into the jacuzzi - so long as they abstained from sex.
According to Vitale, the trip provided more than sexual intimacy.
"I call it an adult summer camp because we exchanged friendship," Vitale, who was new to the group, told Insider.
"We laughed together. We cried together. When one of the members [of the trip] said they weren't having a great mental health day, we just had a little heart to heart about that."
