Thor: Love and Thunder finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a search for self-discovery. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods.
To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.
Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
Directed by Taika Waititi (“Thor: Ragnarok,” “Jojo Rabbit”) and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, Thor: Love and Thunder opens in cinemas 8 July, 2022.

The 38-year-old Australian actor returns as the God of War in the fourth Thor movie, revealing he has returned to peak physical form, after MCU fans last saw him unfit and overweight in Avengers: Endgame .
The trailer shows Thor working out saying: "He got in shape. He went from dad bod to god bod."
Before Natalie Portman appears as his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, aka Mighty Thor, and takes his hammer.
Christian Bale is then revealed as villain Gorr The God Butcher and the trailer ends with Russell Crowe as God of Thunder Zeus, humiliating Thor by flicking off his disguise in front of his entire court.
Hemsworth is then shown completely in the nude from behind, shouting: "You flicked too hard dammit!"
His posterior has been pixilated out.

Valkyrie replies: "Eventually, grape?" as they enjoy the view.
Fans on social media also appear to be enjoying the view with many praising Hemsworth's ripped god bod, while some are frustrated with Disney for censoring the trailer.
The film is the fourth solo Thor movie following 2017's box-office hit Thor: Ragnarok . The movie includes an all-star casts and will once again be directed by two-time Academy Award winner, Taika Waititi.
The film was shot at Fox Studios in Sydney , Australia, in 2021 and it utilises the same StageCraft virtual production technology that was used in Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on 8 July 2022 . Like a lot of Marvel releases, it has experienced several delays.
It was originally set for release on 5 November, 2021 but was delayed to 18 February, 2022 by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was subsequently moved up to 11 February once Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was rescheduled from November 2021 to March 2022.
It was delayed once again to 6 May, 2022, before shifting to the July 2022 date in October 2021.
The film follows Thor on a quest for inner peace, but this is interrupted by galactic killer Gorr the God Butcher whose aim is destroy all the gods.
Thor teams up with King Valkyrie, Korg (Taika Waititi) and Foster in a bid to stop Gorr and much mayhem and adventure occurs along the way.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on 8 July, 2022.

Chris Hemsworth's nude scene in the recently released Thor: Love and Thunder trailer is the most replayed moment in the 2-minute-16-seconds-long video. The trailer released last week amid much anticipation and left fans of Thor hooked to the scene where Zeus 'flicks' away Thor's robe, leaving him completely nude in front of the entire Olympia. The trailer video on YouTube shows a notable spike in viewer replays at around 2-minute timestamp that has Chris wearing nothing but his skin, revealed out Comicbook.com. Christian Bale's debut as a villain Gorr the God Butcher too, caught attention but it was Chris' nude scene that had the fans hooked.
Chris Hemsworth had already hyped up fans for the trailer launch of his latest superhero movie Thor: Love and Thunder, and within an hour of dropping the trailer, it garnered more than two million views on the Marvel Entertainment YouTube page alone.
Marvel announced the title for Love and Thunder back in 2019 at San Diego Comic-Con, where studio boss Kevin Feige revealed that Natalie Portman would be returning to the franchise for the first time since Thor: The Dark World, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
Besides Chris and Natalie, Thor: Love and Thunder also stars Tessa Thompson returning as Valkyrie, and franchise debutants Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista also come back from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
Filmmaker Taika Waititi is returning to direction after 'Thor: Ragnarok' in 2017. Ever since its release, Taika has won an Oscar and become a key member of the Disney family, acting in and directing episodes of the Disney series The Mandalorian and developing a Star Wars' feature for the studio.
Chris' Love and Thunder makes him the first Marvel actor to head a fourth solo film. The film is to open in theatres on July 8.

Thor’s fans are looking quite excited as soon as the trailer of Thor Love and Thunder is released. Seeing the trailer, the most talked-about Christian Bale’s Gorr look and the bareback scene of Chris Hemsworth the Thor. This will be Chris Hemswart’s boldest scene ever. In this scene, Thor is seen in his physical glory. Although this scene of Chris Hemsworth has been censored in the trailer, the audience is hopeful that they will get to see Chris Hemsworth’s uncensored nude scene in the film.
At the end of the Thor Love and Thunder trailer, all the spotlight falls on Chris Hemsworth. It is shown that Thor is brought in by Zeus to kill him, while Thor is hiding his identity. Zeus then uses his flicking power to remove Thor’s hood, but Thor gets completely naked due to overuse of power. After this, Thor’s godly body comes in front of everyone. Chris Hemsworth’s nude back is shown in the trailer. Viewers expect that Thor will also be seen fighting in the same condition in the movie.
The filmmakers can cut this scene out if they want, but removing this scene from the movie by showing it in the trailer would be childish and would not be technically possible. If there is a fight sequence, then even blurring will spoil the standard of Marvel movie. In such a situation, it is believed that real nudity can be seen for the first time in the MCU movie.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for its modern movie-making standards. These movies have been loved all over the world for their compiling stories and themes intertwined with the gender diversity of the characters. Marvel Cinema is going to set a new precedent with nude scenes for the first time from Thor Love and Thunder.

Marvel movies are not typically known for featuring steamy scenes, despite the abundance of attractive characters.
All that is about to change with Thor: Ragnarok, which opens across Australia next Thursday, with the film featuring the franchise's first ever naked scene.
According to The Daily Telegraph on Friday, the racy moment will involve hunky stars Chris Hemsworth , 34, and Mark Ruffalo, 49.

However, viewers hoping to see the sculpted naked body of buff Australian actor Chris, who plays Thor, will be sorely disappointed.
Instead, it will be Mark — in his Hulk form — who stripped off for the scene.
In an amusing moment, the movie will show the Hulk shedding his towel in front of Thor as well as an open window after exiting the shower.

This week, the two actors have being doing the publicity rounds for the superhero blockbuster.
In one revealing interview, it emerged that Mark once gave a lift to some Australian hitchhikers during Byron Bay's Splendour in the Grass festival.
During a Facebook Live video on the Marvel page, Chris revealed Mark picked up some stranded concertgoers, with the punters shocked to discover their saviour was the Hollywood A-lister.
'Mark wonderfully picked up a couple of hitchhikers on the way home who were stuck on the side of the road,' Chris spilled.
Confirming the story, Mark explained: 'The police were harassing them.'

Meanwhile, on Thursday the normally laid-back Chris almost lost his cool during an interview on The Project when host Tommy Little accidentally revealed a spoiler live on-air.
'The gorgeous Cate Blanchett plays your sister, Chris...' said Tommy. 'And for a lot of this movie, your sister... she's trying to kill you.'
Chris then cut the 32-year-old off, bashing his fists down onto the table and crying out: 'You can't say that! You can't give that away!'
The actor then asked: 'This is not live is it, we can rewind the tapes?'
