Britney Spears bared all in a new Twitter photo, as she celebrated the release of her new single 'Hold Me Closer' on August 26.
Britney Spears , 40, shared a nude photo of herself on Twitter, which you can SEE HERE , to celebrate the release of her first song in six years! The princess of pop released her highly anticipated new single with Elton John , 75, on August 26, called “ Hold Me Closer .” In the photo, Britney left little to the imagination as she was fully nude with only a towel covering her lower half, as she covered her chest with her hands! Now that’s one way to celebrate!
Britney’s naked photo comes just four hours after she shared a video of herself in the tub while she gave a shoutout to her collaborator, Elton. The “Tiny Dancer” singer also reshared the video to his Instagram and wrote, “Hey Britney!! Thank you for this message. You’ve made my day!! Hope everyone has the best day dancing to our song!”
And despite Britney’s joy, she also wrote a message that same day on Twitter to reveal that she is refocusing herself and choosing “happiness.” The Grammy-winner wrote, “I’m learning everyday is a clean slate to try and be a better person and do what makes me happy … yes I choose happiness today. I tell myself every day to let go of the hurt bitterness and try to forgive myself and others to what may have been hurtful.” Her Twitter message arrived the same day that the mom-of-two deleted her Instagram, which she is known to do periodically.
She also went on to add, “I want to be fearless like when I was younger and not be so scared and fearful. I pray there actually is truth to the Holy Spirit and I hope that spirit is with my children as well !!! Yes … I choose happiness and joy today !!!” And we couldn’t be happier for Britney!
While Britney and Elton’s song was released on August 26, the singer wrote about the track on Twitter two days prior. “Okie dokie … my first song in 6 years !!!! It’s pretty damn cool that I’m singing with one of the most classic men of our time … @eltonofficial!!!! I’m kinda overwhelmed… it’s a big deal to me !!! I’m meditating more and learning my space is valuable and precious !!!” And it’s clear that her fans are absolutely loving the song, as it is currently the number one song on iTunes!
Just days before the song’s release Elton also teased the new track with a video on Instagram of him singing the song live. He captioned the video , “Sneak peak of Hold Me Closer – out this Friday”. The iconic singer also took to Twitter to share his happiness for the song’s release and love for Britney. He wrote , “ I’m thrilled with the response to #HoldMeCloser I wanted to do a fun, happy summer track so was ecstatic when @britneyspears agreed to be a part of it! She truly is an icon, one of the all-time great pop stars & I love her dearly. I hope you all love it!” Excuse us while we dance into the weekend with this hot new summer single!

If Britney Spears bared all on Instagram — yet again — would you hold it against her?
The pop star, 40, enjoyed a nude pool day, as seen in a pair of sizzling hot Instagram photos shared on Tuesday.
“Keep swimming … keep swimming !!!!” Spears captioned the skinny-dipping pics , a possible reference to Dory’s iconic line from Disney Pixar’s animated hit “Finding Nemo.”
The camera seemingly caught the entertainer spinning beneath the water, her privates strategically covered with glittering digital markings.
Fans were quick to praise Spears for her sensual snapshots.
“Beautiful woman!” someone enthused, while another wrote, “So gorgeous! ”
One individual compared Spears to Disney’s beloved “Little Mermaid” heroine. “Is Ariel your new middle name? ” they asked the “All New Mickey Mouse Club” alum.
A Britney Army member even joked that Spears’ aquatic display meant that “nature is healing.”
Her latest naked post comes a week after she shared topless photos from her honeymoon with new husband Sam Asghari.
The “Lucky” singer, who jetted off to a tropical location after tying the knot, shared a clip of herself posing sans bikini top on a beach.
“No this is not a girls gone wild campaign,” Spears quipped, as she only rocked blue swimsuit bottoms, a black choker and aviator sunglasses.
“It’s simply me living my life !!! this is what happens when you do a two week yacht island vacation … jumping from island to island is literally insane !!!”
The Grammy winner wed Asghari, 28, on June 9 — nearly one year after claiming in an explosive court testimony that she was unable to do so under the control of her estranged father, Jamie Spears, throughout her 13-year conservatorship.
In November 2021, Britney — with the help of her attorney, Mathew Rosengart — was released from the restrictive legal arrangement that had long controlled her personal, medical and financial affairs.

Britney Spears has dropped yet another nude snap on social media, her first since the release of Elton John duet, “Hold Me Closer.”
The 40-year-old singer shared the risqué snap via Twitter late Friday afternoon. In it, the “Stronger” artist looks into the camera as she holds her breasts in her hands while sitting on the edge of the tub in front of a window, with only a sheet to cover her lower body.
Earlier in the day, Spears shared a short clip of herself from the bathtub reveling in the success of the new track with John — imitating his British accent while she did so.
“Hello Sir Elton John. We are, like, number one in 40 countries,” she said. “Holy s–t! I’m in the tub right now and I’m about to go have the best day ever, and I hope you’re well!”
She also posted a clip of herself strutting her stuff in a black-lined white coat as the new song scores the scene.

In a new interview with John, the iconic songwriter details how he got the 2000s teen queen to return to the studio for the first time in six years — and since the end of her conservatorship — to record the brand new hit.
“She’s been away so long — there’s a lot of fear there because she’s been betrayed so many times and she hasn’t really been in the public eye officially for so long. We’ve been holding her hand through the whole process, reassuring her that everything’s gonna be all right,” the “Bennie and the Jets” artist told the Guardian about their collaboration.
“I’m so excited to be able to do it with her because if it is a big hit, and I think it may be, it will give her so much more confidence than she’s got already and she will realize that people actually love her and care for her and want her to be happy. That’s all anybody in their right mind would want after she went through such a traumatic time.”
