Tracee Ellis Ross just announced the release of her upcoming haircare line, PATTERN .
“Thrilled to introduce PATTERN // my new hair care brand specifically for curly, coily, and tight textured hair.,” she said in an Instagram caption.
Tracee is known for having the most beautiful coils, so it’s only right she jumped into the world of hair care. The 45-year-old actress has been working on this project for over 10 years, according to her Instagram post promoting the line.
” @patternbeauty is the result of 20 years of dreaming, 10 years in the making (I wrote my first brand pitch in 2008, right when girlfriends finished ) and 2 years of working with chemists. I’m so excited to share this with y’all.”
The Black-ish star posed nude in the ad photo saying, “Sometimes it’s just all about the hair.”
The line consists of shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, hair serum, and a detangling brush. Pushing the conversation around women who have thicker hair and need more than a quarter size conditioner, the line is meant for women who have 3b to 4c hair.
“PATTERN is for those of us who need more than a quarter size of product. Large conditioner sizes that actually fulfill the unmet needs of our community. Unique formulas packed with luscious & safe ingredients. Accessible pricing, because everyone should have access to their most beautiful hair in their own shower. And gorgeous packaging that conjures the legacy of our history & makes us all feel like the royalty that we are. #RockYourPattern”
Tracee admitted that she tried 74 different samples to get the 7 formulas she currently has for phase one.
The line will be available on Monday, Sept. 9, at 9am on patternbeauty.com
