Skinny Dipping in The South of France. The best naturist beaches and how to find them. This is one of my most popular blogs! This must mean there are some enthusiastic skinny dippers out there.
The best naturist beaches in the South of France. Who loves skinny dipping in the sea? Is there any better feeling than being at one with nature and stripping off on a hot day? I’m going to tell you about the best naturist beaches in the South of France and where to avoid.
You have to be careful which beaches to visit in the South of France. There is a naturist beach in Eze but it is a beach mostly enjoyed by men. I would avoid this beach unless this is the kind of beach you like. There are plenty of wholesome family naturist beaches to enjoy!

However, I love the naturist beach at Saint Tropez which is full of fellow naturists and you will not receive any unwelcome attention and it is not sleazy. All different nationalities and ages happily enjoying the sunshine in a totally natural way. This is my favourite beach and great restaurants too!
Directions to Tahiti Naturist Beach:
Follow the Ramutuelle coast road out of Saint Tropez for a few kilometres until you see a sign on the left for the beaches, turn left. Drive until you see the sign above and take the right turn. You will come to a huge car park which costs 4.50 euros for the day. Park your car and walk straight onto the beach, it is flat and just a few metres away.

The beach is allows dogs on leads, so Freddie and Zarya love to visit too! This is a beautiful beach and you don’t have to strip off to enjoy it. Perfect place to bring your dogs along. There ar so few beaches that allow dogs in summer and there are none in Saint Tropez.
They wonderful thing is that there is a lovely mix of naturists, families picnicking and clothed sunbathers so there is a lovely, cool atmosphere and it is very laid back. Take your pick from several little beach cafes and restaurants along this stretch of beach. The water is sparkling, clean and very beautiful in the Baie.
Then you can have lunch right on the beach at a sweet little beach shack restaurant called Yape. Try out this cute beach shack restaurant.

Another favourite Naturist beach is on the road between Theoule sur Mer and Agay. This is the most stunning coastline with gorgeous little coves amongst the red rock of l’Esterel, drive along and take your pick of beaches that will not be crowded even in high season. This is because of the accessibility. You will need a car or get on a bus at Theoule sur Mer.

The beach is a little tricky to find. It is Cap Roux Naturist Beach, Route de Trays, 83700 Saint Raphael – Agay. Park at Cap Roux car park and walk along the road until Villa Dani bust and you will see the steps down to the beach.
Gorgeous little beaches set amongst the red rocks of L’Esterel. Make sure to visit these beaches, there are plenty of none naturist beaches if you aren’t brave enough to get your kit off!
BUT …. if you have never been swimming naked in the glorious sunshine, give it a go!
If you do not like the idea of a naturist beach, there are countless little beaches and coves all along this stretch of coast road. Look out for the blue signs and steps down to the beaches.

My Favourite Naturist Beach ever? The small island of Formentera near Ibiza has the best, most beautiful naturist beaches! So…. if you visit Ibiza definitely take a trip to the little island of Formentera.
Where to eat on the beach in Saint Tropez: There are lots of beach restaurants to choose on the beach. My favourite is Yape Yape on the naturist beach. Friendly, not expensive and very chilled atmosphere. A slightly longer stroll towards Saint Tropez is Club55, 43 Blvd Patch, Ramatuelle http://www.club55.fr

• La Plage des Grottes on Ile du Levant The nudist zone of Héliopolis, located to the east of the Hyères Islands, boasts a wonderful landscape and all the pleasures of the sea. Municipal authorisation issued 14 March 1978 solely for La Plage des Grottes.
• Plage du Bau Rouge at Carqueiranne Set among rocky inlets, the beach of Le Bau Rouge is a stony place that requires a little effort in the form of some walking. Keen divers will enjoy the outcrops. Nudist beach 200 yards long, officially authorised in 1977.
• Plage du Monaco at Le Pradet Tolerated by the municipality. Actively frequented by Monaco’s Mer et Soleil Association.
• La Seyne sur Mer Municipal authorisation issued 21 June 1972 applies only to 300 yards of beach along Plage du Pradet. Municipal Warning: Risk of falling rocks!
• Salins de Giraud Municipal authorisation issued 23 June 1982. Beach club: Camargue Soleil.

The Bar of the Sofitel Vieux-Port: Dantès Skylounge
With its 150 sq metres of panoramic terrace offering a sweeping view of Marseille's harbor, from the iconic Mucem to the Bonne Mère, the "Dantès Skylounge (External link) " is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful venues in the city. You’ll take your time to settle comfortably in the deep armchairs, before reading the very long drink menu where traditional cocktails, signature cocktails as well as a nice selection of wines, champagnes and brandies are recommended.
The bar of the Intercontinental Hôtel Dieu: the Capian
A magnificent terrace overlooking the Old Port, under the watchful eye of the Notre Dame de la Garde, best describe the setting of the [Capian (External link) ] in this 5-star hotel housed in a former hospice whose architecture dates back to 1000 years. The head bartender, who has won awards in France and abroad for the quality of his cocktails, offers about 50 creations on the menu. Cheers!

This hotel perched above the Catalan beach is aptly named! On the top floor, on the rooftop, the bar of the hotel Les Bords de mer (External link) invites you to soak in an incredible view of the sea. Its menu bears hallmarks of the French art of living, with its a selection of wines from the region and the best French vintages.

At a few metres from the magnificent Saint Victor's Abbey is a small bar that may not catch your attention at first glance, but as soon as the aperitif hour approaches, the terrace of the [Café de l'abbaye (External link) ] fills up in no time. Their secret? An unmissable view of the harbor, a gorgeous sunset and homemade panisses to relish.
This is the historic bar of the Endoume revival. It was the first to open in this corner of the city, and has paved the way for many bars and restaurants to take over the neighbourhood. At [la Relève (External link) ], the tapas are a must-try and the atmosphere very lively!
With its long counter reminiscent of the 70's, lively atmosphere and a space that allows for intimate gatherings, la Ruche (External link) is a tapas bar, which has established itself in a few years as a safe bet in the Endoume district. The flavour of the tapas is deliciously Mediterranean and the drinks menu offers a nice selection of organic and natural wines.

Azure blue ceiling, beautiful lights, tropical birds... The décor of this small intimate cocktail bar was entrusted to a renowned decorator of the region. We like the dark wall on the first floor, decorated with gold and bamboo in a very retro tiki spirit. As a true purist, the menu of Gaspard (External link) proposes exclusively cocktails accompanied by dainty "nibbles".
You won't come across this bar by chance. Sheltered from passers-by and the general public, the Carry Nation (External link) claims to be a clandestine cocktail bar created in the style of American bars during the prohibition era. It is a highly secret underground address, which can only be accessed by reservation. The menu offers a wide choice of spirits and authentic cocktails.
A neighborhood brasserie at lunchtime, and a cocktail bar at night for the initiated. Known for his bartending skills, the manager of the Directoire (External link) offers you a drinks menu that on reading explains how seriously they take their drinks here. The gin is infused with Lapsang Souchon smoked tea, the vodka with lemongrass and the ginger beer is homemade!
