The upgrade feature for items allows players to upgrade their existing equipment. This can be done by any upgrader for items NPC.
Generally, upgrades increase an item's main stats and provide extras depending on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB Sorcs, or Goldwraps for casting builds.
Armour

An item that is magical can provide them with an invisibility effect, or perhaps make them invisible to everyone except a chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are products that do not fit into the categories of clothing, armor or Weapons and offer a range of different capabilities. Utility items aren't compatible with each other, as opposed to weapons or armor. Most utility items have a passive effect that the player can activate when using them, however, some come with additional capabilities that activate when the user presses an action button or activates an ability.
The most popular kind of utility item is the Flashlight that is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to float in the air while moving, and the Jetpack which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Several useful items can be immediately created in the Engineering section, while others can be unlocked through Research projects or experimental projects in the Proving Ground.
