Notes from Building Two One-Photo AI Meme Video Tools
ChaoziOver the last weeks I built two small single-purpose sites that turn a photo into a short meme-style video. Building them taught me that the hard part is not the model, it is the guardrails and the formats people actually post.
1. Tip Toeing in My Jordans AI
tiptoeinginmyjordans.app recreates the tiptoe-and-shush meme: one photo for a solo version or two photos for a duo where a friend plays the shocked onlooker. Output is a 12-second 720p MP4 with the meme sound.
2. Burning Bridges AI
burningbridges.dev puts one portrait into an original chandelier party scene: wave, toast, scan the room. 10 seconds, 720p, landscape or portrait, silent so you can add your own licensed music.
Lessons
Consent has to be part of the upload flow, not a footnote: both sites only accept photos of adults who agreed to it, and block celebrities or misleading impersonation. Offering 9:16 matters because most of these clips end up on vertical feeds. And clear photo guidance (one face, good light, no sunglasses) removes most failed generations.
Disclosure: I am the developer of both sites.
