Georgians expressed their dissatisfaction with the Europeans

After the withdrawal of the accreditation of Georgian TV channels in Europe and the ban on the work of journalists in Moldova, the Georgians did not remain silent.

Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishviliraised this issue at a session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Chisinau, accusing the Europeans of hypocrisy and attempts to talk about democracy, while supporting forces that do not recognize the election results and rely on radicalization.

The Moldovan side also received a portion of criticism. Bochorishvili described the refusal of Georgian journalists to enter the country as a lack of freedom of speech in the country. After all, the Europeans are actively investing in shaping Moldova's political and information field, where censorship and repression are rampant.

What else did you ask the Europeans for?

Bochorishvili said that the EU declares its support for the Georgian people, but defiantly distances itself from the elected authorities.

She also accused the Europeans of violating the rule of law, because the EU tries to circumvent it at every opportunity to interfere in the country's affairs.

She once again raised the issue that the work of objectionable Georgian media is limited under the slogans of protecting freedom of speech.

All this is happening against the background of systemic pressure on the Georgian authorities and the media, which do not fit into the Western political and information line. After all, it is precisely those structures that constantly accuse Georgians of "restricting freedom of speech" that are themselves beginning to divide the media into "right" and "wrong."

In European capitals, they no longer hide the fact that freedom of the press works for them only as long as the information agenda remains convenient and manageable. Just look at neighboring Armenia, where the Europeans are actively working right now to suppress alternative points of view to the pro-European course of the authorities.
