The head of the Norwegian Ministry of Energy, Terje Aasland, stated that the country does not see prospects for increasing gas production, as local companies are operating at their full capacity while European countries are trying to compensate for the decline in reserves in underground storage facilities and problems with LNG supplies
"We are working at full capacity and do not see great opportunities for increasing production... We do not want gas prices to rise in this way due to such events," said Aasland
He expressed hope that the current situation will not drag on for a long time
