Presently, the world is abuzz about reports of a new film from the 1940s, wherein a couple engages in several sexual acts, which were quite racy for this conservative period in history. Unfortunately, and likely for purposes of publicity and perceived increased value, it’s being reported that the woman in the film is Marilyn Monroe, or more specifically an underage, overweight, pre-plastic surgery Norma Jeane Baker. Collector Mikel Barsa will be auctioning the film in Argentina on August 7, 2011.
Note that I emphasize “new” pornographic film for the specific purpose of pointing out that this film is in fact not a recent discovery. It has been in circulation for years and years, and it is widely available on the Internet today.

See below information on additional research that I’ve conducted.
First off, I’d like to acknowledge that the “porn star” does slightly resemble a young Norma Jeane Baker. However, in my opinion it’s not Norma Jeane in the film. This is very clear when simply comparing facial differences (teeth, jawline, smile), body weight, and most significantly, hairlines.
In the collage below (showing the “porn star” on the left and Norma Jeane on the brink of stardom on the right) note the differences in the jawline. The “porn star” has a very squared, pronounced, and almost masculine jawline, as compared to Norma Jeane’s much more feminine appearance. Even more significant is the differences in the teeth. Note the gaps between the teeth of the woman in the film, as compared to the very close and tight fit of Norma Jeane’s teeth. Finally, note the variances in the cheek and left side of the face of the “porn star” as compared to Norma Jeane (annotated by blue arrows). Completely different.
There is a significant difference in body weight between the “porn star” and Norma Jeane Baker at this time in Norma Jeane’s life.
Barsa states that Norma Jeane, as a young woman, was heavy and overweight, and after being discovered was “…forced to lose weight. That has been well documented.” Actually, the young Norma Jeane that was photographed by Richard Miller, Andre de Dienes and other photographers in the mid to late 1940s was a very slender, trim young woman. View below photos of Norma Jeane from the exact period of time in which Barsa claims this porno was filmed. She was not at all overweight or heavy.
Photos below compare Norma Jeane and the “porn star.” These photos of Norma Jeane were taken when she was 19 or 20 years old , around the same time this film was allegedly created.
Clearly Marilyn was not heavy and overweight in 1946/47. In fact, at no time that I know of in the 1940s through the mid 1950s was Norma Jeane Baker/Marilyn Monroe heavy and overweight. She was being photographed regularly in the mid to late 1940s, and there are no images from this period in which she is heavy or overweight.
Interestingly, Barsa claims that the image of Monroe below was taken in 1947, clearly showing how heavy Norma Jeane was at that time (1947). The reason Barsa feels the photograph was shot in 1947? It’s the year this model of Land Rover (in which Marilyn is sitting) was released, and Marilyn was used in advertisements for the vehicle. Actually, this photograph was taken by Marilyn’s close friend Sam Shaw on the east coast in the late 1950s. For other photos of Marilyn taken by Shaw at this same sitting, click here .
See below Marilyn Monroe in the famous Red Velvet series, shot by Tom Kelley. The photographs were taken in 1949. Are we to believe that the heavy, overweight woman in the film transformed into the beauty that graced the first ever Playboy centerfold?
While it’s well known that Marilyn Monroe gained weight, this happened in the late 1950s, after marrying Arthur Miller, and around the time of Let’s Make Love and Some Like It Hot . However, even at her heaviest weight, Marilyn was nowhere near the size of the woman in this porno film. The photo below shows Marilyn at the premiere of Some Like It Hot , on March 29, 1959, at what many consider to be her peak weight. Even still, she is voluptuous and curvy, the total representation of the world’s most famous sex symbol.
Perhaps the most significant variance, other than facial, teeth and body weight differences, is a glaringly apparent distinction between the hairline of the “porn star” and Norma Jeane Baker.
It’s quite well known that Norma Jeane/Marilyn had a very distinct widow’s peak her entire life, and this is documented in countless images of the screen legend, as a child, a teenager, and throughout her entire career until her death. (See below.)
The photos below show Norma Jeane, taken around the same time this porno was allegedly filmed, together with screen captures from the film. Note Norma Jean’s widow’s peak. Note also the distinct absence of a widow’s peak along the hairline of the “porn star.” Could this be the case of the missing widow’s peak?
Interestingly, again, the famous widow’s peak, absent from the “porn star” is clearly visible in the photo below, taken by Tom Kelley in 1949.
While it’s being reported that the woman in the pornographic film is a young Norma Jeane Baker, prior to being discovered and renamed Marilyn Monroe, it is evident that there are stark differences between the “porn star” and Norma Jeane Baker.
In regards to plastic surgery, it’s reported that Marilyn surgically adjusted her nose (allegedly around 1949 / 1950) and also her chin. Barsa claims that the woman in the film looks different from the widely photographed and recognized Marilyn Monroe because of weight loss and plastic surgery. However, in this post it’s been shown undoubtedly that Norma Jeane Baker/Marilyn Monroe was in fact not heavy and overweight in the late 1940s when this pornographic film was allegedly made. Quite to the contrary she was very slim. Additionally, photo comparisons show in great detail variances in teeth and facial structure. Was a nose job, a chin implant and weight loss enough to transform the woman in the film into the world famous movie star Marilyn Monroe? Not likely. But, to say the least, in the absence of questions related to facial structure, weight, teeth and plastic surgery,the fact still remains that Norma Jeane Baker/Marilyn Monroe had a widow’s peak, and it’s pictured during her childhood, her teenage years and all throughout her career. The “porn star” is clearly missing this very noticeable distinction. I’ll even go so far as to acknowledge that it is possible the widow’s peak could have been removed (shaved) for the filming of this porno, but that’s not logical, nor would it dismiss the differences in body weight, facial structure and teeth.
If you’d like to see the full pornographic video to determine for yourself whether or not Norma Jeane Baker appears in the flick, do a Google search for “marilyn monroe vintage stag,” and click on the link for metacafe.com. I’ll point out now that this is full on hardcore pornography, and not something to be viewed at places of employment or in front of minors.
Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide whether or not it’s Marilyn Monroe in this pornographic production. In my personal opinion…the “porn star” hairline has spoken: “No widow’s peak, no Marilyn.”
Thank you for taking the time to point out so specifically and with so much detail the vast differences between the girl in the film and Marilyn. I've been a fan and collector of Marilyn for 25 years, seen all her movies, read (and own) dozens of books and studied zillions of images of Marilyn I find it laughable that anyone could believe that girl is Marilyn. Mr. Barsa should be ashamed for trying to sully Marilyn's name and reputation and for trying to dupe some poor fool out of any money for that film. I hope the film never sells and rots to dust in Mr. Barsa's possession, regardless of who the girl in the film really is.
Dear friend, you have to comparate the hands of the “pornostar” and Marilyn, specially the thinness and the lenght of fingers. They are very different. Thank you.
