Nisa Privacy Policy

Nisa Privacy Policy

Nisa

Nisa is designed for Muslim women as a private space for worship, learning, and cycle-aware reflection. Your privacy is central to how the app is built. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

Our core principle

Nisa has no accounts and no sign-up. The vast majority of your information never leaves your device. We do not sell your data, we do not track you, and we do not show ads.

Information stored only on your device

The following is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else: your first name (used only to greet you); your health profile and any conditions you choose to note; your cycle and period dates, symptoms, and related entries; your journal entries; your prayer tracking, tasbih counts, and streaks; and your themes, settings, and preferences. If you delete the app, this information is removed with it. Because it is stored only on your device, we have no access to it and cannot retrieve or restore it.

Information sent to third-party services

To provide core features, the app sends limited requests to trusted third-party services. For prayer times: when you enter a city name, that city name is sent to the Aladhan API and Open-Meteo to calculate accurate prayer times. We do not use GPS. For Quran content: when you read or listen to the Quran, requests are sent to the Al-Quran Cloud API to retrieve verses and audio. These requests are limited to what is necessary, and we do not attach your name, health information, or any personal identifiers to them.

What we do not do

We do not collect or store your data on our own servers (we have none). We do not require accounts, logins, or email addresses. We do not use analytics or tracking software. We do not show advertisements. We do not sell or share your personal information.

Children's privacy

Nisa is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Educational disclaimer

Nisa is intended for learning and personal reflection. It is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified scholar or medical professional.
