Great, messed up the heelsystem even more. I watched the video, did exactly as i've been told to, it didn't work and now i can't get back the "spell-line" in Tes5 which is resposible for the height...even after i redownloaded everything.Β

My main issue with NIO heels is that it screws up NPC headtracking. If an NPC is wearing heels, they will look above the player when talking to them, instead of right at them. This looks really strange and is off putting. I don't think HDT heels had the same issue. Is this a bug that can be solved?

Are you talking about first person?

It happens in first or third person, but it's more jarring in first person. The NPC headtracking doesn't adjust for heels, like it does for height. So (regardless of scale difference) NPCs wearing heels will look above you. I'll get some screenshots.

i'm getting this too. noticed it for some time and was starting too suspect niofixes caused it. tested recently and it is this mod causing people to look over my head. also i've also always had the problem, as a few others earlier stated, that this will work for horse riding, but Only after getting on the horse and taking off the boots and re-equipping them. then the toon sets at correct height on horse. this does help immensely w/ swimming height. also w npcs crouch praying in nio boots. i have mods that add more npcs, more idles, and more AI. and will often see someone praying. without this fix mod they will float like 7 inches off the floor if wearing nio boots. this fixes that. i've never had much issues w/ setting in chairs tho but that may be because i used this mod before when i used HDTheel... https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53995/ really appreciate your work tho and thank you. but i don't ride horses or swim that often, so not sure it's worth the cloaking and spells getting attached to everyone around me. i see log spam sometimes. and the re-equipping of boots and looking over my head ect Edit; oh also, some female guards in nio boots will walk to their guard idle markers (wall lean, stand w/ hands on hips ect) just fine but when they take position on the idle they sink into the ground. this stops if i remove niofixes. it may be the female guards have male animations but not sure. just wanted to report it

i guess maybe it comes down to performance. many people switched from HDTHeels to Nioverride because HDTH ran scripts so often on boots calculating height ect, and nio didn't and was "built-in". so it felt like a better, more lightweight option to switch to NIO., . but if we need a mod like NIOV fixes that adds cloaks to npcs around us, then which is really more resource efficient and more lightweight? does adding NIOVHH to our load make having nio boots about as resource heavy as the old HDTHeels?

This is a known issue with NIO, but overlooked because most people dont really pay attention. If you have any HDT-High Heels mods installed, NIO will screw up the default feet position of you character, hence you will often end up with your feet in the ground if you change shoes via hotkey or you stand up from a chair etc. Other issues are that when swimming, your char will be slightly above the water with the torso, when on a horse, she wont sit prperly o it but float a few inches above, depending on which hight your heels have. Try installing Nio HH fixes. Can help with some issues.

Have you or anyone else found a fix to this yet?

"If you have any HDT-High Heels mods installed, NIO will screw up the default feet position of you character," i'm wondering what that means? i have the old hdthighheel.esm still installed because i have couple mods dependent on it, BUT i've converted almost all shoes over to just nio. certainly any that i still use. does that mean that just having hdt.esm installed and nio together will cause issues? or just nio alone causes these issues? because i get most u spoke of. i can remove hdt.esm probably without much work also niohh fixes modΒ seems to always stop working after awhile. it never works for horses unless i change boots while on horse. but it usually works for praying, swimming ect. but eventually it'll stop, and i'll have to clean save and reinstall. one thing i wanted to mention is this addon to help fix the nio sneak float... https://www.loverslab.com/topic/101520-nioverride-high-heels-sneaking-crawl-patch/ this works very well for the floating sneak

Is there any way i can remove the high heel effect on boots using nioverride? Any npc wearing those boots have improper head tracking (looking above the head when In first person)

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/94573 if both hdt and nio are active on a pair of shoes, then u'll have the problems. so u'll need to remove the hdt spell effects from boots. it's easy, just open the esp in tesedit and remove the effect on the armor

Wouldn't this make boots sink into the ground?Β

about the npc headtracking, USE XPMS, not the xpms(extended). It messes up the headtracking when wearing heels

i'd like to use this but i seem to recall reading that cloaking spells are bad for the game or something. bettering using aliases...or something like that lol. does this mod use cloaking spells?

"Although equip Ni Override high heels would reset the body scale I have config my character in ECE " Anybody find a soulution to stop NIO from rescaling player character every time when boots are changed ? any methods beside turn to 0 bEnableEquippableTransforms=1. Ok, i find a solution. For everybody using newest version of ECE. Dont scale Your character using Height(Skeleton) use second option just Height,so your scaled character dosent depend on sceleton and NIO works as it should. cheers ;)

Can you make this work for princess horse riding? It doesn't by default. Link to mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50598?tab=description

HDT High Heels to NiOverride & the AE Update
New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast
Welcome to /r/SkyrimMods! We are Reddit's primary hub for all things modding, from troubleshooting for beginners to creation of mods by experts. We ask that you please take a minute to read through the rules and check out the resources provided before creating a post, especially if you are new here. :)
I converted a butt ton of high heels from the HDT High Heels system to NiOverride using this method and they worked fine in SSE 1.5.97 but no longer work in any version higher than that. Is there anything I can do? I've been searching for an answer for days.
Edited to add another question: Charming High Heels doesn't show the top of the shoe, just the sole and the heel. It's like the character is standing on top of the shoes. This has never happened before. Any help would be oh so appreciated!
Edit: So, looks like I have to stick with Skyrim SE version 1.5.97, which is fine. As for Charming High Heels, I'm a retard and didn't realize the upper parts of the shoes needed to be crafted separately. The mod works fine in 1.5.97, actually.
Hey Mate did you ever find a fix for this, im currently on 1.63 and have updated a bunch of my mods already but can not get heels working no matter what. Now what ive updated so many mods its going to be a huge pain to go back to 1.5.97 again lol
Please read the sticky for information about the AE update. If you have taken no action, your game has updated to AE. You do not have to purchase or manually download to have AE. It will still be listed as SSE in steam.
I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.
Why thank you, dearest bot. It doesn't answer my question, however. And I don't know where the sticky is, anyway. Would a kind human care to help out?
