Nicole (Nikki) Huntsman, age 53, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Fillmore, Utah from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born August 25, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the youngest child of Raymond Guy Huntsman and Marlu Hanni Huntsman Heilesen. She attended Fillmore Elementary School, Millard Jr. High, and Millard High School. She lived her entire life in Fillmore.
Nikki was such a unique woman. She had a giant heart and would help anyone in anyway. She loved everyone she met and she especially loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She taught them to cook, a little sewing, even some gardening. Nikki loved flowers and looked forward to every Spring. She enjoyed all holidays and family birthdays and wanted to always make them special.
She was a woman that loved to get the family up in the hills to do a BBQ and most definitely fishing. If she wasn’t seen eating or fishing, you would find her and all the grand kids breaking and smashing rocks apart then take them over to the creek to wash them off to see if they had struck it rich. She really enjoyed rock hounding in the many states she went to. Nikki would always have to pick up a rock and bring it home to break, she had rocks all over in the truck.
She is survived by children: Micheal Huntsman, Fillmore; Crystal Rivera (Dee Penney), Fillmore; Joshua Decker, Fillmore; Stephanie Decker (Bogey Rodriquez), Meadow; mother: Marlu Heilesen, Glenwood; brother; Raymond Dale (Debbie) Huntsman, Beaver; sister: Linda (Kurt) Sorensen, Delta. She has 9 beautiful grandchildren and several step-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Preceded in death by her grandparents: Harold and Flora Huntsman; father: Raymond Huntsman; niece: Danielle Lynn Sorensen.
Our family deeply appreciates the care and help from the Millard County EMT’s, Millard County Law Enforcement Officers, and the staff at Fillmore Community Medical Center and would like to thank them for their service.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 11:00 am, at the Old Steven’s Hotel Reception Center, 20 S. Main. Viewing will be held Thursday morning, 10:00-11:00 am, at the Reception Center, prior to the service. Burial will be in the Kanosh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations for services can be made at Millard County Credit Union.
Online condolences may be left at www.rasmussenmortuary.com
