Synopsis: there was tension between them since the day she moved to San Diego. He already had a life built there, friends & family because he grew up around there. He’s a marine and pilot and that occupied much of his time. When he did have free time, he’d rather hangout with his friends. She felt like a piece that didn’t fit in his puzzle. She felt insecure around his friends because she felt she didn’t fit in. Then she was depressed once max got sick and isolated herself from his friend group more. They broke up 3 days BEFORE max passed away. She said they weren’t compatible and it’s better it happened sooner rather than later.
I was curious about the timing of the breakup and Max passing. CG dumped her on her birthday (major dick move), so Teddy now dumping her right when Max died felt like a cruel joke.
Anyway, sad topics aside she looks beautiful and Teddy didn’t seem her vibe anyway. I’m excited to see what new chapter life has in store for Nikki. She deserves some good stuff.
I can’t believe she revealed so much. She’s brave for being so vulnerable to the millions of people who keep up w her. And props for actually acknowledging everything rather than snapping at people who ask and pretending like nothing happened.

it's also interesting that she said she wanted to make it work, but Teddy said "no, let's end it and go cold turkey", and he hasn't spoken to her since. Really says a lot about him. And it's sad because clearly Nikki still wanted a little bit of continued communication.

tbh it sounds like Teddy should not be looking for relationships anytime soon. His life is his job/training, and then hanging with friends in his little free time. Feel bad for Nikki uprooting her life for him.
also wanna say I love how honest and genuine Nikki is, compared to most people in this space. I don't think I'll ever not like her. She just seems truly sweet.
I loved this video. She was very diplomatic and didn’t come across as dragging him, but she was very blunt and honest about why it ended. The part about feeling very lonely was sad.
She seems to be really trying to pick herself up and find joy again, props to her. What a bunch of hell to deal with; moving, leaving your friends and family for a guy who wasn’t all in, your sacred pet dying… poor thing. Again, props to her for being so blunt and keeping it real. She’s such a gem
i Just watched it and that hit so hard, i went through a horrible breakup (cheating and everything else), but those times when he didn’t want to be around me and would choose his friends over me, and i was like “please hang out with me.” were horrible and make you feel pathetic. i felt so much for her when she was talking about this. it’s a horrible feeling.
i can’t help but like her, she seems SO genuine and sweet, which is hard to fake. i have so much admiration for her.

Sucks that he let her uproot her entire life to move there for him and then wasn’t even willing to put in the effort to spend time with her when he did get some free time. It doesn’t sound like she expected all of his attention, but as with any partner would expect to be a priority. I guess it is good that it happened sooner than later if he wasn’t all in from the start.
I’m surprised she’s already dating again, but she seems to be in such a better headspace now. Her whole energy is so much better lately. Hope she finds her people who will stick with her.
I thought the same thing like why did they move in together if he wasn’t into it? You’d think he would’ve broken up with her before she moved to San Diego. It sounds like he barely put any effort into their relationship. What an asshole.
I guess he is just not that into you ...when his friends are priority in his little bit of free time...but some couples like to spend time with friends and going out and others like personal time ...have to be on the same page and/or make some compromises to make it work
honestly, i still love nikki and i hope she finds her authenticness and true joy in life. she deserves to prioritize herself and live truly for herself for a while.
