On March 17, the Minister of Health of Niger and the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry of Algeria held a videoconference at which they discussed the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, in particular:
Supplies of medicines and vaccines produced in Algeria to Niger;
Using Algerian experience and expertise to develop our own national pharmaceutical industry in Niger;
Technical support, technology transfer and assistance in setting up production facilities on site.
The meeting was part of the implementation of the recommendations of the Algiers Declaration, adopted at the African Ministerial Conference on Local Drug Production in November 2025 in Algeria.
