Nicole Sheridan is the wife of Taylor Sheridan, the writer, director, producer, co-creator, and star of the beloved show Yellowstone.
Though many people know her simply as the wife of Taylor Sheridan, she has made quite a name for herself on her own.
Nicole Muirbrook Sheridan was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 19, 1983. She is an American actress and model.
Growing up, Sheridan was a tomboy, never wanting to brush her hair and always in the dirt. However, at a young age, she was contacted by a modeling agency. She seized the opportunity and began a successful career in the entertainment world.

Nicole Sheridan is a real-life cowgirl. Growing up on her grandparent’s ranch in Wyoming, she spent lots of time riding horses in the mountains.
Horses have continued to play an important role throughout her life. As of now, the Sheridan family owns over 100 horses, many of which are Quarter horses. They keep these horses at Bosque Ranch in Weatherford, Texas, where the family calls home.
Almost all of the horses used on Yellowstone are ones owned by the Sheridans. Many of the Quarter horses they own also compete in various rodeo events including reining, cutting, and cow horses.
Nicole and Taylor Sheridan met through acting. While struggling to find roles, Taylor had a brief stint working as an acting coach and Nicole signed up for lessons.
Shortly after meeting for coaching lessons, the aspiring actors began dating. Nicole and Taylor then went on to get married in 2013.
Nicole and Taylor Sheridan have one child together, Gus. Gus was born shortly after the couple announced their marriage in 2013.

Though the Sheridan family has many horses, Nicole has two main horses she competes with, Simba and Sweetie. Both Simba and Sweetie are Quarter horses.
Sheridan has done quite well for herself in the world of cutting competitions. In 2020, she took home the champion title in her division at the Careity Foundation Celebrity Cutting Event. It was the first buckle that she won with her horse Sweetie.
When Sheridan was young, an agent from renowned modeling agency NEXT approached her at the local mall. With some convincing from her mom, a former runner-up in Miss America, she grabbed on to the opportunity.
Sheridan stands out for her striking features she inherited from her German mother and her Mexican/Lebanese father. She quickly found success in the modeling world during her early teens to her twenties.
Traveling throughout Europe, she worked in cities such as Paris and Milan. She went on to grace covers such as Vogue and Marie Claire , along with other top fashion magazines.
In addition to her modeling career, Sheridan has also worked acting in TV shows, movies, and even commercials. Though her acting career has been relatively small, she was able to land roles thanks to her strong agency connection.
Sheridan has starred in the movies The Human Contract and I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell . For television, she starred in Dark Blue and How I Met Your Mother. Some theorized that her character in How I Met Your Mother would be Ted Mosby’s future wife but that proved to be false.
Nicole and Taylor Sheridan own Bosque Ranch in Weatherford, Texas, which is where they have called home the last several years. In addition, the Sheridans, along with a group of investors, purchased the historic 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, Texas in January 2022.
Bosque ranch is a premier equine facility that is home to the Sheridan’s performance horses. The ranch also hosts rodeos, film and TV shoots, concerts, music festivals, charity events, and private events.
Bosque features an “ongoing unique dining experience that includes intimate dining experiences at the Chef’s Table.” The facility is also home to Nic’s Bar, which overlooks the indoor riding arena.
Four Sixes Ranch is one of the largest ranches in Texas, as it sprawls over 260,000 acres of land. Captain Samuel “Burk” Burnett founded the ranch in 1870 after he purchased 100 head of cattle with the brand “6666” on them.
Four Sixes Ranch breeds some of the finest Quarter horses and Angus cattle in the country. It is also home to state-of-the-art veterinary and reproductive services. Depending on the time of year, there are anywhere from 50-100 employees, including nearly 20 full-time cowboys.

In addition to being a wife, mother, and competitive equestrian, Sheridan also helps run the business side of Bosque Ranch. Her role at the ranch includes directing the operations of the ever-expanding working ranch that hosts many guests.
In her free time outside of working at the ranch, Sheridan enjoys rescuing animals and helping with charity work.
The family has 12 dogs, along with multiple chickens and cats. In addition, she sits on the board of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.
